ISD Does Not Consistently. Provide Notice of Language Assistance Services and Outreach to LEP Individuals The Response Documents indicated that every L&I field office posts a notice with information in multiple languages stating that interpreter services are available free of charge.78 ISD also indicated that LEP claimants are encouraged to point to the language they speak on “point to” signs to receive further language assistance. However, our on-site visit revealed that not all local offices post interpreter service notices or “point to” signs in their common areas. For example, when we visited the Tukwila L&I Field Office, there was no sign or other notice posted in English or in non-English languages that indicated language assistance services were available and would be provided free of cost, or that explained how to obtain or request such services. Translated brochures were found in the lobby areas of the L&I Field Offices we visited but were available in Spanish only.   • Consistent with Section 1 hereof, the Trust shall use its best efforts to qualify and maintain the qualification of the Shares for sale under the securities laws of such jurisdictions as the Placement Agent and the Trust may approve. Any such qualification may be withheld, terminated or withdrawn by the Trust at any time in its discretion. The expense of qualification and maintenance of qualification shall be borne by the Trust. The Placement Agent shall furnish such information and other material relating to its affairs and activities as may be required by the Trust in connection with such qualification.

  • Local Union Business Leave The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence without pay to local bargaining unit members for the purpose of attending Union seminars and/or attending to Union business. The cumulative total leave of absence will be determined locally, but shall not exceed sixty (60) days per year per hospital. The amount of notice required and the number of employees who may be absent at any one time and from any one area shall be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.
