Home Duty. An employee who is required to stand by at home to perform intermittent duties at home normally involving receiving and/or making telephone calls, and who may be required to perform restrictive duty: 75% of the employee’s ordinary rate of salary, or not less than 50% or more than 100% of ordinary salary as approved by the Commissioner, for the proportion of the period of standing by calculated in accordance with clause 46.7(b), provided that the rate on Sundays is single ordinary rate of salary and the rate on public holidays is 125% of ordinary rate of salary.

Home Duty. Clause 19.1.3(d), in part, requires MOs “to perform intermittent duties at home on an ad hoc or predetermined basis normally involving receiving and/or making telephone calls, and may also be required to be available for immediate recall to duty.” At home Rural Medical Practitioners may be available to meet this restriction while being away from their home by: • remaining contactable by the telephone; • where provided, remaining in an area that the mobile telephone is operational; and • not traveling beyond a distance where they can not meet the response times, to the airport or hospital, as developed by the work unit. Immediate recall to duty The MO is available to return to duty without delay using their professional judgment as to time frame the medical intervention is required for the patient.   • Light Duty Where the injured employee's treating physician authorized by the County recommends light-duty assignment, it will be the responsibility of the appointing authority to arrange suitable light duty. Department of Human Resources may provide staff technical assistance to find a suitable light-duty assignment, one which accommodates the particular restrictions provided by the treating physician.

  • Extra Duty A. All extra duty vacancies listed in Article 29 (except as provided in 7-8-C) shall be filled by MBUs, providing they meet the following criteria.

  • Off Duty day - Except where the provisions of 10.3.1 apply, if a public holiday, other than Waitangi Day and ANZAC Day, falls on a rostered employee's off duty day (such off duty day not being a Saturday or a Sunday) the employee shall be granted an additional day's leave at a later date convenient to the Employer.

  • Active Duty An employee who enlists or is called into active duty for the military service of the United States or who, in time of national emergency, voluntarily enlists for active duty, shall be granted military leave for the time necessary to permit completion of the military service. In order to have reemployment rights, a person leaving active duty in the military service of the United States must comply with USERRA.

  • Civic Duty Whenever an employee is served with a subpoena by a court of competent jurisdiction which compels his/her presence as a witness during his/her normal working period, unless he/she is a party to the litigation or an expert witness, such employee shall be granted time off with pay in the amount of the difference between the employee's regular earnings and any amount he/she receives for such appearance. This Article is not applicable to appearances for which the employee receives compensation in excess of his/her regular earnings. A court of competent jurisdiction is defined as a court within the County in which the employee resides or if outside the county of residence, the place of appearance must be within 150 miles of the employee's residence.

  • Court Duty Section 1. After due notice to the EMPLOYER, employees subpoenaed to serve as a witness in cases arising from or during the performance of their official duties, or called and selected for jury duty, shall be allowed their regular compensation at their current base pay rate for the period the court duty requires their absence from work duty, plus any expenses paid by the court. Such employees, so compensated, shall not be eligible to retain jury duty pay or witness fees and shall turn any such pay or fees received over to the EMPLOYER. If an employee is excused from jury duty prior to the end of his/her work shift, he/she shall return to work as directed by the EMPLOYER or make arrangement for a leave of absence.

  • On Duty Employees subpoenaed for a DMV Telephonic Hearing scheduled during the employee’s working hours shall utilize a Department telephone at the appointed time.

  • Night Duty 222. Employees shall be paid eight percent (8%) more than the base rate for each hour worked between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. if the employee works at least one (1) hour of his/her shift between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., except for those employees participating in an authorized flex-time program and who voluntarily work between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

  • Alternate Duty (A) Where an employee is eligible for disability leave with pay under Rules of the State Personnel System as a result of an injury in the line of duty, and is temporarily unable to perform his normal work duties, the Agency Head or designee shall give due consideration to any request by the employee to be temporarily assigned substitute duties within the employee’s medical restrictions. This shall have no effect on the agency’s ability to make a different assignment based upon current medical opinion.

  • Emergency Duty 41.1 Where an employee is called on duty to meet an emergency at a time when the employee would not ordinarily have been on duty, and no notice of such call was given to the employee prior to ceasing ordinary duty, the employee will be paid for such emergency duty at the rate of double time.
