Court Duty. Section 1. After due notice to the EMPLOYER, employees subpoenaed to serve as a witness in cases arising from or during the performance of their official duties, or called and selected for jury duty, shall be allowed their regular compensation at their current base pay rate for the period the court duty requires their absence from work duty, plus any expenses paid by the court. Such employees, so compensated, shall not be eligible to retain jury duty pay or witness fees and shall turn any such pay or fees received over to the EMPLOYER. If an employee is excused from jury duty prior to the end of his/her work shift, he/she shall return to work as directed by the EMPLOYER or make arrangement for a leave of absence.

Court Duty. An employee on authorized vacation leave who is required to testify or is subpoenaed as a witness to give evidence on behalf of the Employer shall have his vacation leave entitlement restored for the period of time required to attend court or any legal proceeding and will, in addition for the hours so required to attend, receive twice his regular or normal salary.
Court Duty. Should an employee be required on his or her regular work day to report for jury duty or is subpoenaed to testify before a court of law, coroner's inquest, Parliamentary Inquiry or Royal Commission, the employee will be paid his or her regular salary for the day. Any reimbursement received from the court will be signed over to the Employer. An employee will not be entitled to any pay under this article if he or she is a party or principal in any of the aforementioned proceedings unless a party or principal as the result of performing the employee's duties for the Employer.
Court Duty. An Employee who is subpoenaed by the Crown for jury duty or as witness for the Crown or as a witness in any matter arising out of employment with the Employer, shall not lose any pay because of such service, provided the amount paid for such service is promptly repaid by the Employee to the Employer. The Employee must present proof of service and shall notify the Employer immediately upon the receipt of notification that the Employee has been subpoenaed by the Crown.
Court Duty. (a) If an employee is required to attend Court for reasons arising out of the normal performance of the employee’s duties, time for the attendance that falls outside the employee’s regular hours of work will be paid as per Article 10.03
Court Duty. Off-duty employees will be paid for a minimum of three (3) hours or the time actually worked at their regular rate of pay while serving as a witness for a duty related matter as a representative of the County in response to a subpoena(s). All witness fees for paid court appearances shall be turned over to the County, along with travel reimbursements if the County has provided the employee a County vehicle for travel to the court session. Should an employee be required to respond to a subpoena outside of Pershing County, the employee may elect to utilize a personal vehicle and retain all witness fees and expenses paid in lieu of payment of the three (3) hour minimum. There shall be no overlapping minimum payment periods pursuant to this section.
Court Duty. (A) An employee who is called for Jury Duty or as a subpoenaed witness shall continue to receive her/his regular pay for the days on which she/he would otherwise have worked. In the event the employee receives any monies from the Crown for such service, she/he shall retain such portion as covers her/his expenses, and shall turn the remainder over to the University with an accounting of amounts received together with proof of amounts received together with proof of service.

Court Duty. 18.01 Any employee who is required to serve on a jury, or who is subpoenaed by the Crown, shall be paid by the difference between the amounts paid for such service and his/her normal pay computed at his/her normal hourly rate for hours lost from work up to forty (40) hours in a week, subject to the following provisions:
Court Duty. 20.01 (a) – A Fire Fighter subpoenaed to appear as a witness in court shall absent him/herself only to such extent as is necessary to perform such duty. In accordance with this understanding, he/she shall be paid for such absence at his/her standard rate of pay, provided that he/she pays over to the Corporation his/her witness fees, excluding any meal or mileage allowances.

The teacher shall be paid his/her full salary for each contract day of absence provided that the teacher pays to the school corporation the compensation received for jury duty less mileage expense. The leave shall not be deducted from sick leave or from personal business leave days.
