Holidays on Scheduled Days Off. When a holiday is observed by the Company on an employee's scheduled day off, the holiday for that employee shall be the scheduled working day of the employee nearest to the day the Company observes the holiday. When a holiday observed by the Company occurs during an employee's scheduled vacation, his vacation shall be extended one day.

Holidays on Scheduled Days Off. If an employee’s regularly scheduled day off falls on the day the holiday is observed, the employee shall be entitled to holiday time off in an amount equal to their normal workday. This holiday time is not considered CTO. This compensation at the amount equal to their normal workday may be in the form of cash (salary) or Holiday Credit, which shall be included with the one hundred (100) hours that may be accrued under provision 19.4 b. below.
Holidays on Scheduled Days Off. In the event a Town holiday falls on an employee’s regularly scheduled day off the Town shall schedule the holiday on an alternative day for which the employee is scheduled to work and the employee shall be compensated for the alternative holiday at the employee’s straight time hourly rate for the number of hours that the employee is regularly scheduled to work. Additionally, if the employee is called in to work on the holiday or the alternative holiday, he/she shall be compensated in accordance with Section 4.2(d) of this Agreement.

If an alternative holiday is assigned, it shall be as close as practicable to the recognized holiday, and within the same payroll cycle.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.

  • Scheduled Holidays Holidays for certain employees, typically 24/7 facilities, are pre-scheduled on days other than the holidays mentioned in Section 1. This schedule is determined in advance. If employees who have their holiday pre-scheduled are required to work on that pre-scheduled holiday day, they are compensated as follows:

Where possible, part-time employees shall have consecutive days off every second week. Where it can be demonstrated by the Shop Xxxxxxx, to the Employer’s satisfaction, that scheduling of consecutive days off can be accomplished without an adverse effect on the operation of the department, the Employer shall do so.

  • Reinstatement of Vacation Days - Sick Leave In the event an employee is sick or injured prior to the commencement of his/her vacation, such employee shall be granted sick leave and the vacation period so displaced shall be added to the vacation period if requested by the employee and by mutual agreement, or shall be reinstated for use at a later date.
