Extended Family Illness Sample Clauses

Extended Family Illness. Paid time off will be available for use when a teacher’s adult child, sibling, parents, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchild, grandparent or members of the teacher’s immediate household are in a hospital or undergoing out-patient surgery or are receiving treatment that medically requires supervision or care as dictated by a licensed medical professional. Paid time off for this purpose will be limited to 4 days per incident and may be extended by the Superintendent or his/her designee. The decision to extend the leave will not be subject to the grievance process.

Extended Family Illness. Prolonged illness in the immediate family: Spouse, child, step-child, parent, step-parent, grandparent, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, relative living and making his/her home in the employee’s household, shall be included in the employee’s “immediate family”. Upon the request of the employee, the employer may grant leave allowance even though the person who is injured, ill, or deceased is not within the employee’s “immediate family”. (Seniority fixed and benefits non- accruing.)
Extended Family Illness. 1. In the event a bargaining unit member in need of family illness days in addition to the current maximum allocation of ten (10) days, the bargaining unit member may use up to thirty (30) accumulated personal illness days. Once a bargaining unit member has cumulatively made use of thirty (30) days, additional days may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools upon request without establishing a precedent.
Extended Family Illness. A leave of absence without pay or increment of up to one (1) year may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent for the purpose of caring for a member of the employee’s immediate family or person for whom the employee has primary responsibilities who is seriously ill.
Extended Family Illness. 911.1 A Leave of Absence without pay up to one (1) year will be granted the teacher for the purpose of caring for a sick member of the teacher's immediate family. Immediate family shall be that defined in the Sick Leave provisions of this Contract. Additional leave may be granted at the discretion of the Board of Education.

  • Extended Illness Sick leave for extended illness (5 or more days) will be paid only during the time period in which a physician certifies the employee to be physically or mentally disabled, and only to the extent of the number of days accumulated.

  • Extended Illness Leave 1. Extended Illness Leave, hereinafter referred to as “EIL” shall be established for Administrative Support Group, XXXX, Clerical, and Educational Assistant personnel who are absent due to their own personal illness or injury following the exhaustion of their accumulated illness, vacation and annual allotment of short term leave. Eligibility for Extended Illness Leave includes completion of employee’s probationary period.

  • Family Illness Leave An employee will be granted leave of absence for up to five (5) days per year without loss of pay or benefits for family illness. Additional family illness leave may be granted by the employer.
