Extended Illness Leave definition

Extended Illness Leave means illness or accident caused by illnesses only. Will not include nursing of infants.

Examples of Extended Illness Leave in a sentence

  • Eligibility for Extended Illness Leave includes completion of employee’s probationary period.

  • Non-occupational or Occupational Extended Illness Leave of Absence: Seniority for all dates will be retained and continue to accrue for the duration of the leave.

  • Extended Illness Leave, hereinafter referred to as “EIL” shall be established for certified/licensed personnel who are absent due to their own personal illness or injury following the exhaustion of their accumulated illness and annual allotment of short term leave.

  • After all accrued sick leave has been used, an employee may elect to use Extended Illness Leave.

  • Salary increment credit for Extended Illness Leave shall be given up to a maximum of one year, but in no event extend beyond the year in which the Extended Illness Leave began.

  • Such Extended Illness Leave shall be paid as set forth in Section 9.5.1.

  • Employees may use accrued and unused Extended Illness Leave for periods of certifiable pregnancy disability.
