DUST AND DEBRIS CONTROL. 3.4.1. Contractor shall prevent the spread of dust and debris on pavements and avoid the creation of a nuisance or hazard in the surrounding area. Do not use water if it results in hazardous or objectionable conditions such as, but not limited to, ice, flooding, or pollution. Sweep pavements as often as necessary to control the spread of dust, mud and debris.
DUST AND DEBRIS CONTROL. The Contractor shall be responsible for controlling dust in the air and rocks, debris, mud or dirt which are scattered as a result of his operations on the job. The Contractor shall be responsible for cleaning all mud, rock, dust, dirt, and debris-producing materials that originate in the project area and are deposited on other public or private property by truck tires, spillages, or by other means. The Contractor shall have suitable and adequate street cleaning equipment on the project site at all times. The Contractor shall begin cleanup operation at least one hour before the end of each day's work, clean all paved portions of the project and paved streets leading from the project that have dust-producing materials or debris deposited upon them. The work areas shall be swept clean at the end of each day's work and at other times when directed by the Project Manager. The Contractor shall endeavor, whenever possible, to restrict the use of water to control dust for his convenience in order to conserve water during drought situations or mandated rationing required by the Water Utility Company. Whenever flushing of streets or any other work is necessary, the Contractor shall provide filter materials at the catch basin to retain any debris and dirt flowing into the City's drainage system. The cost of the above work, including the providing of barricades, water and other materials, labor, and equipment shall be at the sole cost and expense of the Contractor. The Project Manager may determine that an emergency exists when dust, rocks, debris, mud, or dirt are scattered in the public right of way or in the private properties as a result of Contractor's activities and/or deterioration of such conditions due to rain. The emergency conditions may also be declared when traffic or the Contractor's equipment travelling through a job causes dust to fly or rocks, debris, mud, or dirt to be scattered. Similar emergency conditions may be determined by the Project Manager if the storage of materials, tools, or any other equipment related to the project, in the public rights of way, is causing any obstruction or blocks access to the neighboring properties and/or dangerously placed without proper barricades and lights and/or backfill stockpiles or debris washing away into the street gutter and catchbasins.

  • Electronic PHI Security Rule Obligations 5.1 With respect to Electronic PHI, Business Associate shall:

  • Sick and Personal Leave The Assistant Principal shall annually be entitled to twelve (12) days of sick leave and two (2) days of personal leave. Unused personal leave days will accumulate as sick leave days. Earned sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 340 days. Every sick day that is issued for the current school year and eventually not utilized during that school year will be multiplied by 1.5 at the end of the school year (e.g., 10 unused sick days on June 30, 2022 will be converted in a credit of 15 sick days for the Assistant Principal’s use.) This unused sick day multiplier will not be in effect during the four (4) years prior to retirement.

  • Sick Leave and Personal Leave The Administrator shall be granted paid sick leave, as defined in Section 24-6 of The School Code, of twelve (12) workdays per contract year accumulative to three hundred forty (340) days. The Administrator shall be granted three (3) paid personal leave days per contract year for personal business. Unused personal leave days shall be credited towards the Administrator’s accumulated sick leave.

  • EMPLOYMENT AND PERSONNEL The Provider shall not engage any person in the employ of any State Department or Agency in a position that would constitute a violation of 0 XXXX § 00 xx 00 XXXX § 0000. The Contractor shall not engage on a full-time, part-time or other basis during the period of this Agreement, any other personnel who are or have been at any time during the period of this Agreement in the employ of any State Department or Agency, except regularly retired employees, without the written consent of the State Purchases Review Committee. Further, the Provider shall not engage on this project on a full-time, part-time or other basis during the period of this Agreement any retired employee of the Department who has not been retired for at least one year, without the written consent of the State Purchases Review Committee. The Provider shall cause the foregoing provisions to be inserted in any subcontract for any work covered by this Agreement so that such provisions shall be binding upon each subcontractor, provided that the foregoing provisions shall not apply to contracts or subcontracts for standard commercial supplies or raw materials.

  • Personal Illness and Injury Leave 1. Full-time employees shall be entitled to ten (10) days leave with full-time pay for each school year for purposes of personal illness or injury. Employees who work less than full-time shall be entitled to that portion of the ten (10) days leave as the number of hours per week of scheduled duty relates to the number of hours for a full-time employee in a comparable position.

  • Catastrophic Sick Leave Bank [a] The District will establish and manage a catastrophic sick leave bank from which eligible educators may draw leave under the conditions and restrictions outlined below. Teachers who wish to participate in the catastrophic sick leave bank program shall be required to contribute one (1) day of their available sick leave to the bank. This contribution must be made each year during the insurance open enrollment period, as designated by the District, by completing and submitting the appropriate form to the Human Resources Department. If the bank has a substantial balance of days remaining at the end of the academic year, the Association and District may agree to suspend the contribution requirement for one year. Any educator who did not previously participate in the bank but who desires to participate during the non- contribution year will be required to donate one (1) day to initiate eligibility by submitting the appropriate form to the Human Resources Department during the insurance open enrollment period, as designated by the District. [b] Only educators who have contributed to the bank and who have depleted their sick leave and personal leave balances shall be eligible to receive consideration for sick leave from the bank. [c] All requests for sick leave from the bank must be in writing and must be addressed to the Human Resources Director. Requests may be submitted and approved any time after the required sick leave has been contributed. The requests must include the reasons for the request, written verification from the attending physician indicating the nature and severity of the illness or health problem along with the projected recovery date, and the number of sick leave days requested. [d] Only severe, extended illness and catastrophic medical problems of an employee or immediate family member will be considered for leave withdrawals from the bank. Illness or medical problems of a short-term nature shall not be considered. Life-threatening illness or severe accidents requiring extended recovery periods will be given first priority. [e] Withdrawals from the bank for illness of the participating employee shall not exceed one hundred (100) leave days per employee during any four (4) year period. [f] Withdrawals from the bank for illness of an immediate family member shall not exceed twenty (20) days during any consecutive four (4) year period. For requests under this policy, immediate family members shall include husband, wife, son, daughter, father, mother, brother, sister, grandmother, and grandfather. In addition, exceptions may be considered by the Superintendent for other relatives or those who have virtually held the position of an immediate member of the family. [g] In all sick leave bank withdrawal requests, whether for the participating employee or for an immediate family member, the District reserves the right to approve requests, deny requests, or to approve only a portion of the leave days requested.

  • ABSENCE FROM WORK AND REPORTING 17.01 If an employee is unable to report for work, he/she shall give the Employer a minimum of four (4) hours notice. In case of day shift work, this time element shall be one (1) hour. If notice is not given within the required time, the employee shall not be entitled to his/her sick pay on the first day of illness.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.

  • Funeral and Bereavement Leave 19.01 In the event of death in the immediate family of an employee, the employee will be granted leave of absence with pay, with consideration given to travel time for attending the funeral. The length of absence shall be up to three (3) days at the discretion of the Employer. The term ‘immediate family’ shall mean: spouse, parent, child, brother, sister, step-mother, step-father, step-son, step-daughter, step-brother, step-sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandmother, grandfather, and grandchildren, or any relative living in the household of the employee. In the event of the demise of an aunt or uncle, nephew or niece, an employee will be granted one (1) day leave of absence with pay to attend the funeral. In the case of death of spouse, father, mother, child, step-parent or step-child, the employee shall be entitled to, up to one (1) weeks leave of absence with pay.

  • Personal Illness Employees may use accumulated sick leave for hours off due to personal illness. The employee may be required to furnish a medical certificate from a qualified physician as evidence of illness or physical disability in order to qualify for paid sick leave as per District practice. Accumulated sick leave may also be granted for such time as is actually necessary for office visits to a doctor, dentist, optometrist, etc.
