Definition of Regular Workweek. Permanent Part0Time (PPT) Permanent part-time unit members shall have an assignment of less than forty (40) hours per week and no more than eight (8) hours per day. If the schedule does change on a temporary basis, due to unforeseen circumstances, and results in additional hours worked over the established schedule that are not subject to overtime rules, the “Additional PPT” hours will be paid at a straight time rate. “Additional PPT” hours will not be converted to compensatory time at 1 ½ times the hours worked. Alternate arrangements may be mutually agreed upon with the unit member’s supervisor (see Alternate Work Schedule Section F below).‌ “A classified employee who works a minimum of 30 minutes per day in excess of his or her part-time assignment for a period of 20 consecutive working days or more shall have his or her basic assignment changed to reflect the longer hours in order to acquire fringe benefits on a properly protated basis as specified in Education Code Section 88035.” (Article 21, Section B.4)‌‌
