Compensating Time Off for Overtime Worked. Any employee who elects to receive compensating time off in lieu of being paid for overtime shall be given time off equivalent to the number of hours for which she/he would have been paid for the overtime so worked. Time off for such compensating time shall be taken at a time mutually agreed upon by employee and Employer.

Compensating Time Off for Overtime Worked. Any employee who elects to receive compensating time off in lieu of being paid overtime shall be given time off equivalent to the number of hours for which she/he would have been paid for the overtime so worked. Time off for such compensating time shall be taken at a time mutually agreed upon by employee and Employer. This time may also be applied to the sick leave and vacation allotment. Compensating time off, which is not taken in the calendar year in which it accrues, must be taken by August 31st of the subsequent calendar year and must be scheduled to January 31st of that subsequent year. If compensating time off is not scheduled by January 31st of the subsequent year, then in February the employee will be paid in lieu of receiving the compensating time off.

  • Compensating Time Off ‌ At the time an employee is required or requested to work overtime, the employee may opt for compensating time off at the applicable overtime rate in lieu of overtime pay. If an employee opts for compensating time off in lieu of overtime pay, the time shall be taken at a time mutually agreed to by the employee and the Employer and shall be taken within 24 calendar weeks of the occurrence of the overtime. The Employer will make a reasonable effort to allow time off when requested by the employee. If such time off is not taken by the end of the 24 week period, overtime at the applicable overtime rate shall be paid on the employee's next regular paycheque.

  • Work Period; Overtime Pay The work period for overtime computation purposes shall be a seven (7) day period, as defined by the Employer. Nurses working this twelve (12) hour shift schedule shall be paid overtime compensation at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay for the first two (2) hours after the end of the twelve (12) hour shift or for any hours worked beyond forty (40) hours in a seven (7) day period. If a nurse works more than two (2) consecutive hours beyond the end of the twelve (12) hour shift, all overtime hours after fourteen (14) consecutive hours of work for that shift shall be paid at double time (2x).
