HOLIDAYS FOR EMPLOYEES ON WORK SCHEDULES OTHER THAN MONDAY THRU FRIDAY 267. Employees assigned to seven-day operation departments or employees working a five-day work week other than Monday through Friday shall be allowed another day off if a holiday falls on one of their regularly scheduled days off. Employees whose holidays are changed because of shift rotations shall be allowed another day off if a legal holiday falls on one of their days off. These paid days off accrued in lieu of holidays may be carried over to the next fiscal year. Employees regularly scheduled to work on a holiday which falls on a Saturday or Sunday shall observe the holiday on the day it occurs, or if required to work, shall receive holiday compensation for work on that day. Holiday compensation shall not be paid for work on the Friday preceding a Saturday holiday nor on the Monday following a Sunday holiday.

An employee may carry over no more than the number of floating holidays accrued in one year from fiscal year to the next fiscal year. The maximum floating holiday balance shall be no more than twice the number of floating holidays accrued in one year. 352.
