Classification Appeals Committee. The Classification Appeals Committee shall be composed of eight (8) members; one (1) appointee by the Board of Higher Education; three (3) appointees by the Council of Presidents; and, four (4) appointees by the Union for a period of two (2) years. Release time for Union appointees must be approved by the appropriate College President or designee. The parties agree that the unit member’s primary responsibility is to the College and recognize that changes to the Committee structure may be required. The charge of the Committee shall be to review and issue decisions on all faculty and unit professional staff unit classification appeals. Committee members shall serve without loss of compensation and/or benefits. The parties recognize that, if it is deemed appropriate, a second committee may be formed to hear faculty or unit professional staff appeals. The goal of the Classification Appeals Committee is to reach decisions by consensus. In the event consensus cannot be reached, decisions of the Classification Appeals Committee shall be approved by no less than five (5) committee members.

  • Appeals Committee ‌ An Appeals Committee is hereby established composed of one member appointed by the Union, one member appointed by the Employer or by the Association, as the case may be, and a Public Member appointed by both these members.

  • Grievance Committee The Hospital will recognize a Grievance Committee composed of the Chief Xxxxxxx and not more than (as set out in Local Provisions Appendix) employees selected by the Union who have completed their probationary period. A general representative of the Union may be present at any meeting of the Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to deal with complaints or grievances as set out in this Collective Agreement. The Union shall keep the Hospital notified in writing of the names of the members of the Grievance Committee appointed or selected under this Article as well as the effective date of their respective appointments. A Committee member shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending grievance meetings with the Hospital up to, but not including arbitration.   • Benefits Advisory Committee The Board agrees to establish a Benefits Advisory Committee to provide stakeholder input into maintaining quality and affordable benefits. The focus of this committee shall be to:

  • Benefits Committee As per LOA#10, a benefits committee comprised of the employee representatives and the employer representatives, including the Crown, shall convene upon request to address all matters that may arise in the operation of the OSSTF ELHT.

  • Insurance Committee An Insurance Committee comprised of three (3) representatives selected by the Superintendent and three (3) representatives selected by Okeechobee County Education Association #1604 shall be established to review and make recommendations regarding the health insurance program. The Committee shall meet at least quarterly and may meet more frequently as needed. Notwithstanding the above, any anticipated changes to the hospitalization and health insurance program which would result in a program less than equivalent to the existing program shall be subject to negotiations.

  • Classification Appeal Procedure An employee shall have the right to appeal, through the Union, the classification of the position the employee occupies, or where a point rating plan has been used, the right to appeal the position's level. Classification matters are not grievable under Article 8 of this Agreement. Instead, the following procedures shall be followed.

  • Selection Committee A. Each building site will appoint a selection committee for the TLS. The committee shall be comprised of equal numbers of teachers and administrators and at least one teacher will be appointed by the Des Moines Education Association.

  • Review Committee A Student may ask that the decision of the Housing Director or designee to deny the cancellation be reviewed. The review will be conducted by a committee consisting of University officials.

  • Joint Insurance Committee The Committee shall be referred to as the Joint Insurance Committee (Academic Employees).
