Board's Rights and Responsibilities. A. The Association agrees that it is the right of the Board to determine, with the stake holder input, the purpose of each of its schools and educational programs, set standards of service to be offered to the public and exercise control and discretion over its organization and operations. It is also the right of the Board to direct its employees, take disciplinary action for just cause and relieve its employees from duty for just cause because of the lack of work or for other legitimate reasons.
Board's Rights and Responsibilities. A. The Board on its own behalf and on behalf of the electors of the school district hereby retains and reserves unto itself, without limitation, all powers, rights, authority, duties and responsibilities conferred upon and vested in it by the school code and the laws and the Constitution of the State of Michigan and/or the United States. The Union acknowledges that the Employer has certain exclusive statutory rights and responsibilities which it may not surrender and, except as expressly provided otherwise by this Agreement or by law, the Employer shall retain its rights whether or not such rights have been exercised in the past, to make, amend, or execute decisions and policies that are necessary to operate and maintain the program of the school district and to otherwise carry out its lawful rights and responsibilities.
Board's Rights and Responsibilities. 1. Nothing contained herein shall be considered to deny or restrict the Board of its legal rights, authority or responsibility as defined and vested in the Board by the laws and Constitution of the United States and of the State of Florida, and the rules and regulations of the State Board of Education. Except as specifically and clearly stated in this Agreement, all the rights, powers and authority the Board had prior to this Agreement are retained exclusively by the Board.
