Basic Compensation Schedule/Salary Schedule Placement. An annual basic compensation schedule shall apply to teachers employed by the District unless otherwise specified by the Board. Appendix A sets forth the Index Point Schedule for the period July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019. For the period July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2018, teachers will be compensated pursuant to Appendix B. The Appendix B schedule reflects salary from which the TRS contributions are deducted and sent to TRS. For the period July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019, teachers will receive a base increase of ½ of the Consumer Price Index (“CPI”) for the previous contract year (with CPI capped at 1.5%). The base increase will not exceed 0.75%. The salary resulting from this base increase reflects the salary from which the TRS contributions are deducted and sent to TRS. . Placement on, or movement to, the next step on the Salary Schedule will not be available to teachers who receive an overall rating of “Unsatisfactory.” Any such teacher who receives an overall rating above “Unsatisfactory” in any subsequent year will be eligible to move to the next step on the Salary Schedule at that time. Any teacher who would not receive an increase equal to or greater than $500 to their base salary as a result of an increase in health insurance premium costs (based on the health care option already in place for the teacher as of the beginning of this contract) will be provided an increase to ensure that he or she receives an overall increase of $500 in a given contract year. Teachers who were at BA Step 13 or BA+15 Step 17 during the 2015-2016 school year and continue on that cell during the 2016-2017 school year, do not qualify for this benefit. Teachers who do not move on the salary schedule as a result of receipt of an overall rating of “Unsatisfactory” do not qualify for this benefit. For qualifying teachers, payment for such increase will be made in two installments, one in December and one in June. It is understood and agreed that this benefit shall terminate when this Contract expires. Example A (Teacher with decrease in compensation): Teacher A is at Step 20, MA +15 for 2015-16 at a base salary of $106,033 and pays $3,600 annually for family health insurance (PPO), resulting in pay of $102,433. For the 2016-17 school year, Teacher A moves to Step 21, MA +15 with a base of $106,538 and Teacher A’s health insurance premium increases to $4,200 annually for family health insurance (PPO), resulting in pay of $102,338 (which is $95 less than in 2015-16).   • Salary Schedule Placement All bargaining unit employees will have their base salaries set on the following salary schedule based on their years of service in their current job title and band. All employees who have been in their current job title and band for six or more years will have their base salaries set at the market salaries identified in the schedule for their job titles and band assignments. No employee will suffer a reduction in salary as a result of the pay schedule’s implementation.

Vacation periods shall be fixed by the Employer to suit the requirements of his business, but as far as possible and practicable, vacations will be given during the summer months, and for employees with school-age children, during the school vacations. Vacation periods shall be unbroken unless by mutual consent between Employer and employee, or where it is impractical. Grievances relating to this Section shall be subject to the Adjustment and Arbitration Procedure in this Agreement.

  • Status of Salary Schedule The salary schedules are not to be construed as part of a teacher’s continuing contract. In the event a successor Agreement is not entered into prior to the expiration date of this Agreement, a teacher shall be compensated according to the previous year’s compensation until such time that a successor Agreement is executed.

  • Increment Date for Salary Grid Placement Upon achieving one (1) year of experience, an increment shall be awarded on the first of the month following the month in which the experience accumulation is earned.

  • SALARY STEP PLAN AND SALARY ADJUSTMENTS 198. Appointments to positions in the City and County Service shall be at the entrance rate established for the position except as otherwise provided herein.
