Association Stewards’ Activities. The Employer agrees that during working hours, on the Appointing Authority's premises, within the regions and designated department(s) and without loss of pay, Association Stewards will be allowed reasonable time to post official Association notices on bulletin boards, distribute the Association newsletters, and to transmit communications authorized by the Association to the Appointing Authority as are required for the administration of this Agreement, providing however, this activity does not interfere with normal work duties, nor conflict with the security, rehabilitation and confidentiality needs of the Employer. However, reasonable time off without loss of pay to perform these functions shall not include travel time if the total travel time to and from exceeds thirty (30) minutes. The Association Xxxxxxx shall first inform their supervisor of their impending departure and shall first receive approval to leave the work location. Such approval shall not be unreasonably denied. When more than one (1) Appointing Authority has offices within the same building, the Association may designate one Association Xxxxxxx to perform the activities of this Article for the entire building regardless of the number of Appointing Authorities in the building.

  • Association Activities The parties agree employees shall have the right to form, join, and participate in the lawful activities of the Association for the purpose of representation in matters of employment relations. No employee shall be interfered with, restrained, coerced, or discriminated against because of the exercise of such rights.

  • Religious Activities The Subrecipient agrees that funds provided under this Agreement will not be utilized for inherently religious activities prohibited by 24 CFR 570.200(j), such as worship, religious instruction, or proselytization.

  • Professional Development Activities Professional development activities are activities initiated by individual faculty members or groups of faculty members and may include attendance at conferences, workshops or seminars which facilitate the following:

  • Union Activities If the Contract Amount is $50,000 or more, no Judicial Council funds received under this Agreement will be used to assist, promote or deter union organizing during the term of this Agreement (including any extension or renewal term).

  • Outside Activities Subject to the Articles of Incorporation and any agreements entered into by the General Partner or its Affiliates with the Partnership or a Subsidiary, any officer, director, employee, agent, trustee, Affiliate or stockholder of the General Partner shall be entitled to and may have business interests and engage in business activities in addition to those relating to the Partnership, including business interests and activities substantially similar or identical to those of the Partnership. Neither the Partnership nor any of the Limited Partners shall have any rights by virtue of this Agreement in any such business ventures, interest or activities. None of the Limited Partners nor any other Person shall have any rights by virtue of this Agreement or the partnership relationship established hereby in any such business ventures, interests or activities, and the General Partner shall have no obligation pursuant to this Agreement to offer any interest in any such business ventures, interests and activities to the Partnership or any Limited Partner, even if such opportunity is of a character which, if presented to the Partnership or any Limited Partner, could be taken by such Person.

  • Association Business Duly authorized representatives of the Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property at all reasonable times provided that such activities shall not interfere with normal school operations.

  • Professional Activities The Superintendent/Principal shall be encouraged to attend appropriate professional meetings at the local, state, and national levels. Within budget constraints, such costs of attendance shall be paid by the Board. The Superintendent/Principal’s attendance at professional meetings at the national level must have prior approval of the Board.

  • Activities Except with the prior written consent of the Board, Executive will not during his employment with the Company undertake or engage in any other employment, occupation or business enterprise, other than ones in which Executive is a passive investor. Executive may engage in civic and not-for-profit activities so long as such activities do not materially interfere with the performance of his duties hereunder.

  • Outside Professional Activities The President/Superintendent may undertake outside professional activities, including consulting, speaking, and writing provided these activities do not interfere with the President/Superintendent’s duties.

  • Time Off for Union Activities A. Conventions and Conferences Union-designated employees may be allowed time off without pay to attend union-sponsored conventions or conferences. Approval for the time off must be granted in advance of the absence and in accordance with the Employer’s leave policies. Approval will not be granted if the absence interferes with the Employer’s ability to provide coverage during the requested time off or the operating needs of the agency cannot be met.
