Appointing authority means the head of an employing unit authorized by ordinance or City Charter to employ others on behalf of the City, or a designated management representative. The term includes and can be used interchangeably with department head, department director, superintendent, and chief.
contracting authorities means the State, regional or local authorities, bodies governed by public law or associations formed by one or more such authorities or one or more such bodies governed by public law;
Gaming Authorities means any foreign, federal, state or local governmental entity or authority, or any department, commission, board, bureau, agency, court or instrumentality thereof, regulating gaming activities or related activities.
Regulatory Authorities means the Commissions and the Exchange;
competent authorities means the competent authorities of the Member States as identified on the websites listed in Annex II;
Securities Regulatory Authorities means the securities commission or similar regulatory authority in each province and territory of Canada that is responsible for administering the Canadian securities legislation in force in such jurisdictions;
Contracting Authority means any contracting authority as defined in Regulation 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006.
Antitrust Authorities means the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice, the United States Federal Trade Commission or the antitrust or competition Law authorities of any other jurisdiction (whether United States, foreign or multinational).
Regulatory Bodies means those government departments and regulatory, statutory and other entities, committees, ombudsmen and bodies which, whether under statute, rules, regulations, codes of practice or otherwise, are entitled to regulate, investigate, or influence the matters dealt with in the Contract or any other affairs of the Authority and “Regulatory Body” shall be construed accordingly.
Implementing Authority means the Municipal Manager or his or her nominee, acting in terms of section 100 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act No. 32 of 2000.
Nevada Gaming Authorities means, collectively, the Nevada Gaming Commission, the Nevada State Gaming Control Board, and the Xxxxx County Liquor and Gaming Licensing Board.
Inspecting Authority means the authorised representative of the Department to act as Inspecting Authority for the purpose of this contract and for the purpose of ascertaining the progress of the deliveries under the contract.
Governing authority means the local legislative authority
Authorities means the various governmental and quasi-governmental bodies or agencies having jurisdiction over Seller, the Real Property, the Improvements, or any portion thereof.
Approving Authority means a government (federal, provincial or municipal), governmental agency, Crown corporation, or quasi-governmental authority (a privately operated organization exercising authority delegated by legislation or a government).
Signing Authority means an officer or agent of the organization with written authorization to commit the legal entity to a binding agreement.
Adjudicating Authority or “NCLT” shall mean the Hon’ble Mumbai Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal;
Taxing Authorities means Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, Her Majesty the Queen in right of any province or territory of Canada, any municipality of Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, the Canada Border Services Agency, any similar revenue or taxing authority of Canada and each and every province or territory of Canada (including Revenu Québec) and any political subdivision thereof and any Canadian or foreign government, regulatory authority, government department, agency, commission, bureau, minister, court, tribunal or body or regulation making entity exercising taxing authority or power, and “Taxing Authority” means any one of the Taxing Authorities;
Government Authorities means, without limitation, all Government departments and agencies with responsibility for the import and export of goods, the collection of revenue on the import and export of goods and the transport of those goods to include, without limitation, Customs, AQIS, the ATO and the RSA;
Controlling Authority means the Minister administering the Tasmanian State Service Act 1984.
Canadian Securities Regulatory Authorities means the securities regulatory authorities in each of the provinces and territories of Canada;
Marketing Authorization means all approvals from the relevant Regulatory Authority necessary to market and sell a Product in any country (including without limitation, all applicable pricing and governmental reimbursement approvals even if not legally required to sell Product in a country).
Granting authority means the appropriate agency or official
Marketing Authorization Application or “MAA” means an application for Regulatory Approval in a country, territory or possession.
executing authority means the executing authority as defined in section 1(1) of the Act, except with regard to the appointment and other career incidents of a head of department, in which case it means the executing authority as contemplated in section 3B of the Act;
Tax Authorities means Hong Kong or foreign tax, revenue or monetary authorities.
