Outside professional activities definition

Outside professional activities means participation in the activities of professional associations, learned societies, faculty associations and voluntary practice in a member’s profession.
Outside professional activities or “Moonlighting,” as such terms are used in this Agreement, shall be deemed to include all professional activities utilizing the Physician-in-Training’s medical, research or academic skills, knowledge or information which are performed outside of the Program, whether at the Medical Center’s facilities or otherwise.

  • Outside professional activities may enhance the professional and scholarly competence of the Employee as well as the reputation of the University.

  • Outside professional activities include but are not limited to consulting, personal contracts, private practice in the member's profession, and teaching duties for any other employer.

  • Educational activity means an activity offered by a school, school district, charter school or county office of education that constitutes an integral fundamental part of elementary and secondary education, including, but not limited to, curricular and extracurricular activities.

  • School activities means any activity sponsored by the school including, but not limited to, classroom work, library activities, physical education classes, official assemblies and other similar gatherings, school athletic contests, band concerts, school plays and other theatrical productions, and in-school lunch periods.

  • Commercial Activities means events that sponsored or conducted for the promotion of commercial products or services, and include advertising, private parties, private company or organization meetings, and any other non-public organization event. Commercial activities do not include private, community service, state sponsored, or free speech activities.

  • Retained Professional means an Entity: (a) employed in the Chapter 11 Cases pursuant to a Final Order in accordance with sections 327 and 1103 of the Bankruptcy Code and to be compensated for services rendered prior to the Effective Date, pursuant to sections 327, 328, 329, 330, or 331 of the Bankruptcy Code; or
