Outside professional activities definition

Outside professional activities means participation in the activities of professional associations, learned societies, faculty associations and voluntary practice in a member’s profession.
Outside professional activities or “Moonlighting,” as such terms are used in this Agreement, shall be deemed to include all professional activities utilizing the Physician-in-Training’s medical, research or academic skills, knowledge or information which are performed outside of the Program, whether at the Medical Center’s facilities or otherwise.

  • Outside professional activities must not interfere with a faculty member’s professional obligation to the University.

  • Outside professional activities that interfere with a faculty member’s professional obligations to the University represent a conflict of commitment.

  • Outside professional activities include but are not limited to consulting, personal contracts, private practice in the member's profession, and teaching duties for any other employer.

  • Outside professional activities that are appropriately related to a member's duties at the University shall be encouraged.

  • Outside professional activities are distinct from non- professional activities, i.e., activities that are part of the faculty member’s private life and are not expressly governed by University regulations or by the guidelines on outside professional activities.

  • Outside professional activities, private financial interests or the receipt of benefits from third parties can sometimes cause an actual or perceived divergence between the university mission and an individual’s private interests.

  • School activities means any activity sponsored by the school including, but not limited to, classroom work, library activities, physical education classes, official assemblies and other similar gatherings, school athletic contests, band concerts, school plays and other theatrical productions, and in-school lunch periods.

  • Commercial Activities means activities conducted on a commercial basis.

  • Substance use disorder professional means a person

  • Restricted Activities means those activities described in Section 10 of this Agreement.

  • Professional athlete means an athlete who performs services in a professional athletic event for wages or other remuneration.

  • Nonprofessional services means any services not specifically identified as professional services in

  • Licensed Professional Engineer means a person acceptable to Buyer in its reasonable judgment who (a) is licensed to practice engineering in California, (b) has training and experience in the power industry specific to the technology of the Project, (c) has no economic relationship, association, or nexus with Seller or Buyer, other than to meet the obligations of Seller pursuant to this Agreement, (d) is not a representative of a consultant, engineer, contractor, designer or other individual involved in the development of the Project or of a manufacturer or supplier of any equipment installed at the Project, and (e) is licensed in an appropriate engineering discipline for the required certification being made.

  • Licensed mental health professional or "LMHP" means a physician, licensed clinical psychologist, licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner, licensed marriage and family therapist, certified psychiatric clinical nurse specialist, licensed behavior analyst, or licensed psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner.

  • Qualified professional means, for the purposes of OAR 411-320- 0080, any of the following licensed professionals trained to make a diagnosis of a specific intellectual or developmental disability:

  • Qualified mental health professional means a licensed medical practitioner or any other person meeting the qualifications specified in OAR 309-019-0125.

  • Licensed site remediation professional means an individual

  • Professional Client means a “Professional Client” for the purposes of CySEC Rules, as specified in the Client Categorization Policy found on the Company’s Website.

  • Design Criteria Professional means a firm who holds a current certificate of registration under Chapter 481 of the Florida Statutes, to practice architecture or landscape architecture, or a firm who holds a current certificate as a registered engineer under Chapter 471 of the Florida Statutes, to practice engineering, and who is employed by or under contract to the District to provide professional architect services, landscape architect services, or engineering services in connection with the preparation of the Design Criteria Package.

  • Interscholastic Activities means athletic or non-athletic/academic activities where students compete on a school vs. school basis.

  • Licensed professional means a professional registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia pursuant to Article 1 (§ 54.1-400 et seq.) of Chapter 4 of Title 54.1 of the Code of Virginia. For purposes of these Standards and Specifications a licensed professional is one that is certified by DPOR as an Architect, Professional Engineer, Land Surveyor, or Landscape Architects.

  • Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) means a qualified person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.

  • Permitted Activities The primary activities of the trust created pursuant to this Agreement which shall be:
