Volunteer Participation. The County recognizes that the contributions of all volunteers are a valuable asset. The County must not prohibit or discourage any employee from providing volunteer services for a local fire and rescue department, except where prohibited or restricted by the provisions of section 21-17 of the Xxxxxxxxxx County Code, or by regulations adopted under section 21-17(b) of the Xxxxxxxxxx County Code.

Volunteer Participation. In the event an employee who is not assigned to work at an extracurricular event attends the extracurricular event and chooses to participate as a volunteer, such participation must be limited to activities that are not the same as or closely related to the employee’s normal work activities. For example: selling tickets, food or other items would not be closely related to the work assignment of an employee who assists teachers in the classroom. However, supervising students, officiating at a sports event involving students, or driving district vehicles to transport students or district equipment would be closely related and would not be permitted activities for these employee volunteers.

Volunteer Participation. I am aware that the volunteer relationship between the JCHP and its member institutions, including the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA), and myself is not an employer-employee relationship.   • Company Participation Subject to Section B.6, the Company shall not be liable to indemnify the Indemnitee under this Agreement with regard to any judicial action if the Company was not given a reasonable and timely opportunity, at its expense, to participate in the defense, conduct and/or settlement of such action.

  • Employee Participation The Employer will assist employees' participation in health promotion and health education programs. Health promotion and health education programs that have been endorsed by the Employer (Minnesota Management & Budget) will be considered to be non-assigned job-related training pursuant to Administrative Procedure 21. Approval for this training is at the discretion of the Appointing Authority and is contingent upon meeting staffing needs in the employee's absence and the availability of funds. Employees are eligible for release time, tuition reimbursement, or a pro rata combination of both. Employees may be reimbursed for up to one hundred (100) percent of tuition or registration costs upon successful completion of the program. Employees may be granted release time, including the travel time, in lieu of reimbursement.
