Urban Services. In general, cities are the units of local government most appropriate to provide urban governmental services. It is not appropriate that urban governmental services be extended to or expanded outside the UGA, except in those limited circumstances shown to be necessary to protect basic public health and safety and the environment and when such services are financially supportable at non-urban densities permitted by existing County zoning and do not permit urban development.

Urban Services. (A) Extension of City water and/or sewer services shall be permitted only when consistent with the policies of the Vale Comprehensive Plan and with any adopted functional plans for water and/or sewer extension which are consistent with the Comprehensive Plan.

Urban Services. 1. The City of Xxxxxxx is recognized as the ultimate provider of urban services within the Urban Growth Boundary. To this end:
Urban Services. Upon Annexation and upon City’s acceptance of the Required Improvements and the Ownerssatisfactory completion of all conditions of approval of the Annexation, the Annexation Property shall be entitled to the full range of City services, including without limitation, water service, sewer service, police and fire protection, and general government services, some of which are described below in more detail, and the Association shall cease operating within the Annexation Property except as to any improvements not accepted by the City. For example, the Association may, but is not obligated to, remain in existence in the form of an architectural review committee, though any such committee would not in any way supersede or replace the authority of the City’s Architectural Review Committee. Except as expressly provided in this Agreement, future development within the Annexation Property shall be subject to all laws, policies, rules, and regulations of the City, including but not limited to the payment of development impact fees and any policies, rules, or regulations contained in the Area Plan. Existing development within the Annexation Property as of the effective date of this Agreement shall not be obligated to pay any development impact or connection fees except as expressly provided herein.

Catholic schools offer a broad, comprehensive curriculum imbued with an authentic Catholic understanding of Xxxxxx and his teaching, as well as a lived appreciation of membership of the Catholic Church. Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS) governs the operation of MACS schools and owns, governs and operates the School.

  • IN SERVICES (a) The Employer reserves the right to identify specific in-service sessions as being compulsory for Employees and those required to attend such sessions shall be paid at the applicable rate of pay for attendance. The cost of materials and tuition for an in-service session offered by the Employer shall be paid for by the Employer for those Employees whose attendance is compulsory. In addition to any in-service the Employer may identify as compulsory, the following in-service programs shall be compulsory and shall be provided to Employees on an annual basis:

  • Beta Services From time to time, We may invite You to try Beta Services at no charge. You may accept or decline any such trial in Your sole discretion. Beta Services will be clearly designated as beta, pilot, limited release, developer preview, non-production, evaluation or by a description of similar import. Beta Services are for evaluation purposes and not for production use, are not considered “Services” under this Agreement, are not supported, and may be subject to additional terms. Unless otherwise stated, any Beta Services trial period will expire upon the earlier of one year from the trial start date or the date that a version of the Beta Services becomes generally available. We may discontinue Beta Services at any time in Our sole discretion and may never make them generally available. We will have no liability for any harm or damage arising out of or in connection with a Beta Service.

  • Legal Services If this Agreement is for legal services, this section is applicable. Contractor shall: (i) adhere to legal cost and billing guidelines designated by the JBE; (ii) adhere to litigation plans designated by the JBE, if applicable; (iii) adhere to case phasing of activities designated by the JBE, if applicable; (iv) submit and adhere to legal budgets as designated by the JBE; (v) maintain legal malpractice insurance in an amount not less than the amount designated by the JBE; and (vi) submit to legal bill audits and law firm audits if so requested by the JBE, whether conducted by employees or designees of the JBE or by any legal cost-control provider retained by the JBE for that purpose. Contractor may be required to submit to a legal cost and utilization review as determined by the JBE. If (a) the Contract Amount is greater than $50,000, (b) the legal services are not the legal representation of low- or middle-income persons, in either civil, criminal, or administrative matters, and (c) the legal services are to be performed within California, then Contractor agrees to make a good faith effort to provide a minimum number of hours of pro xxxx legal services, or an equivalent amount of financial contributions to qualified legal services projects and support centers, as defined in section 6213 of the Business and Professions Code, during each year of the Agreement equal to the lesser of either (A) thirty (30) multiplied by the number of full time attorneys in the firm’s offices in California, with the number of hours prorated on an actual day basis for any period of less than a full year or (B) the number of hours equal to ten percent (10%) of the Contract Amount divided by the average billing rate of the firm. Failure to make a good faith effort may be cause for nonrenewal of this Agreement or another judicial branch or other state contract for legal services, and may be taken into account when determining the award of future contracts with a Judicial Branch Entity for legal services.

  • Our Services As insurance intermediaries we generally act as the agent of our client. We are subject to the law of agency, which imposes various duties on us. However, in certain circumstances we may act for and owe duties of care to other parties, including the insurer. We will advise you when these circumstances occur, so you will be aware of any possible conflict of interest. We offer a wide range of products and services which may include: • Offering you a single or range of products from which to choose a product that suits your insurance needs; • Advising you on your insurance needs; • Arranging suitable insurance cover with insurers to meet your requirements; • Helping you with any subsequent changes to your insurance you have to make; • Providing all reasonable assistance with any claim you make. In some cases, we act for insurers under a delegated authority agreement and can enter into insurance policies, issue policy documentation and/or handle or settle claims on their behalf. Where we act on behalf of the insurer and not you, we will notify you accordingly and in relation to claims we will advise you of this fact when you notify us of a claim. Notwithstanding this, we endeavour to always act in your best interest. As intermediaries, we offer a wide range of insurance products and have access to many leading insurance companies and the Lloyd’s market. Depending on the type of cover you require and where we have provided advice based on a personal recommendation, we will offer you a policy from either: • a single insurer; • a limited range of insurers; or • a fair analysis that is representative of the insurance market. We will advise you separately as to which of these apply before we arrange your policy and where we have not undertaken a fair analysis of the market, we will provide you with a list of insurers considered.   • Ambulance Services Ground Ambulance This plan covers local professional or municipal ground ambulance services when it is medically necessary to use these services, rather than any other form of transportation as required under R.I. General Law § 27-20-55. Examples include but are not limited to the following: • from a hospital to a home, a skilled nursing facility, or a rehabilitation facility after being discharged as an inpatient; • to the closest available hospital emergency room in an emergency situation; or • from a physician’s office to an emergency room. Our allowance for ground ambulance includes the services rendered by an emergency medical technician or paramedic, as well as any drugs, supplies and cardiac monitoring provided. Air and Water Ambulance This plan covers air and water ambulance services when: • the time needed to move a patient by land, or the instability of transportation by land, may threaten a patient’s condition or survival; or • if the proper equipment needed to treat the patient is not available from a ground ambulance. The patient must be transported to the nearest facility where the required services can be performed and the type of physician needed to treat the patient’s condition is available. Our allowance for the air or water ambulance includes the services rendered by an emergency medical technician or paramedic, as well as any drugs, supplies and cardiac monitoring provided.
