Union Negotiating Team. Up to three (3) members designated as being on the Bargaining Unit’s negotiating team who are scheduled to work on a day on which negotiations will occur, shall, for the purpose of attending scheduled negotiations, be excused from their regular duties without loss of pay. If a designated bargaining unit member on the negotiating team is in regular day-off status on the day of negotiations, he/she will not be compensated for attending the session.
Union Negotiating Team. The employer agrees to allow up to three (3) bargaining unit members from the Communication Technician unit to serve on the bargaining unit negotiating team. These members will be chosen by members of their unit. These members along with a representative from the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council shall serve as the bargaining team during negotiations with the Sheriff. The Union shall notify the Sheriff in writing the names and shift assignments of the committee.

Union Negotiating Team. As a general matter, negotiations time shall not be considered as time worked for compensation purposes. Members of the Union's bargaining team will take all reasonable efforts to insure that such members can attend negotiating sessions, but not on a paid-time status. Such efforts shall include, but not be limited to, attempts to trade shifts (which will not cause overtime) subject to reasonable management approval or disapproval, use of accrued but unused paid time or, if necessary, attending negotiations in an unpaid status with the attending officer either paid by the Union or given the opportunity to make up such hours at a later date as approved by management. If all other reasonable efforts fail, up to one (1) negotiating team member may attend negotiations while otherwise scheduled to work, subject to emergency work duties - or other reasonable direction of the Chief or the Chief s designee. The parties agree to attempt to reasonably schedule bargaining sessions at times when Village employees who are members of the Union's negotiating team can either attend during their off-duty hours or by virtue of duty trades, use of accrued paid time off, or other similar options.

Bargaining unit officers designated as being on the Union negotiating team who are scheduled to work on a day or at a time on which negotiation will occur shall be excused from their regular duties to attend negotiation sessions. Officers' normal work schedules shall not be altered in order to make them unavailable for negotiations. In order to facilitate productive and expeditious negotiating sessions between the Union and the Department, officers on the Union negotiating team shall be afforded the entire day off when such negotiations are scheduled. An officer will also be allowed travel time and preparation time, if necessary, before and after negotiation sessions.
1. Unsafe Conditions

Members designated as being on the Union negotiating team, not to exceed five (5) in number, who are scheduled to work on a day on which negotiations will occur, shall, for the purpose of attending scheduled negotiations, be excused from their regular duties without loss of pay. If a designated Union negotiating team member is in regular day-off status on the day of negotiations, they will not be compensated for attending the session. In the event of an emergency callback of personnel, the Chief reserves the right to withhold or cancel any above-mentioned time off. Nothing in the above listed articles precludes the right of the Union representatives from utilizing their personal accumulated time to attend meetings, conventions and conferences subject to proper notification and approval by the Employer. The Union negotiating team shall consist of five (5) members. It is understood that staff or other representatives of the Policemen's Benevolent Labor Committee may also attend negotiating sessions.
Union Negotiating Team. At the request of either party, negotiations will be recessed if the member is required to respond to a call.
