Uniforms and Safety Apparel. The Contractor at his own cost and expense shall each year supply each of his employees with three (3) pairs of suitable overalls or work suits (for hot and cold climates) with the Company Logo (tag), they shall have a distinctive color for each work group. The Contractor shall supply each of his employees with any necessary safety apparel such as, but not limited to, safety shoes, gloves, goggles and helmets (for the entire Contractor's Personnel). The Company reserves the right to inspect all apparel provided by the Contractor to his Personnel, at any time during the effective period of the Contract, and may request the Contractor to renew such apparel, which are worn or unserviceable, to which the Contractor shall comply without question.

Uniforms and Safety Apparel. 17.1 All employees must be in approved uniform dress during all working hours. The Employer shall determine and furnish uniforms and replace any items that have normal wear and tear or are damaged in the course of the employee’s job duties. Patches or other additions that are required by the Employer will be sewn on at the Employer’s expense. All other alterations are the responsibility of the employee. The determination of the Employer shall govern on uniform replacement and all uniforms furnished shall remain the property of the Employer. All employees are required to wear safety apparel per the Employer’s safety policies and regulations. Uniforms shall not be worn in locations such as bars, taverns, liquor stores, and marijuana dispensaries.

  • UNIFORMS AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT 214. For employees required by the Appointing Officer to wear a uniform, beginning in fiscal year 2006-2007 and continuing for the duration of this Agreement, the City agrees to provide a uniform allowance each year in the amount of eight hundred fifty dollars ($850). The City will pay the uniform allowance in the payroll that includes September 1 of each year. Represented employees must be on duty status or approved leave on each September 1 to be eligible for the uniform allowance. Any eligible employee hired on or after March 1 will receive fifty percent (50%) of the uniform allowance that year.

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK The Supplier shall undertake its obligations arising hereunder and in all Contracts in accordance with the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System or equivalent. Both parties shall take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of the other party’s employees and agents visiting their premises. The Supplier shall notify the Authority of any use of substances listed under COSHH regulations or the Montreal Protocol in the provision of the Services.

  • Health and Safety Plan 5. Xxxxxx shall prepare and submit under separate cover from the Work Plan, a Health and Safety Plan consistent with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. The Health and Safety Plan shall be submitted to the Department in the form of one electronic copy on compact disk (in .pdf format). Xxxxxx agrees that the Health and Safety Plan is submitted to the Department only for informational purposes. The Department expressly disclaims any liability that may result from implementation of the Health and Safety Plan by Xxxxxx. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

  • OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH The parties desire to deal with safety and health complaints, and to attempt to correct any health or safety violations, internally. Accordingly, neither the Association nor an employee may file a complaint alleging a health or safety violation with the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to R.C. §4167.10 until the following process has been completely exhausted:

  • ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND HEALTH PROTECTION (a) Seller shall perform this Agreement in a manner that ensures adequate protection for workers, the public, and the environment, and shall be accountable for actions of itself and its lower-tier subcontractors, agents and employees. Seller shall exercise a degree of care commensurate with the work and the associated hazards. Seller shall ensure that management of environment, safety and health (ES&H) functions and activities is an integral and visible part of Seller’s work planning and execution process. In the event that Xxxxxx fails to comply with this Agreement, Company may, without prejudice to any other legal or contractual rights, issue an order stopping all or any part of the work; thereafter a start order for resumption of work may be issued at Company’s discretion. Seller shall make no claim for an extension of time or for compensation or damages by reason of or in connection with such work stoppage. In addition, Company may require, in writing, that Seller remove from the work any employee the Company deems unsafe, incompetent, careless, or otherwise objectionable.

  • SAFETY AND HEALTH 20.1 The Employer, employee and Union have a significant responsibility for workplace safety and health.

  • Health and Safety Committees A. The parties agree that Joint Union/Management Health and Safety Committees are appropriate. At the Union's request, each department shall establish at least one Joint Union/Management Health and Safety Committee.

  • Health and Safety Grievances A. It is the policy of the State employer to enforce safety and health, policies, procedures, and work practices and protect employees from harm in connection with State operations.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act The Employer, the Union and the employees agree to be bound by the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, S.N.S. 1996, c.7.

  • Employee Health and Safety A. When the University requires an employee to use or wear health or safety equipment, such equipment will be provided by the University.
