Safety and Health definition

Safety and Health. The Contractor shall observe all safety precautions throughout the performance of this Agreement. All work shall be in strict accordance with all applicable Federal, state, and local health and safety requirements. Where there is a conflict between applicable regulations, the most stringent will apply. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility and liability for compliance with all applicable regulations pertaining to the health and safety of personnel during the execution of work. Special Entrance: Certain areas within some buildings may require special entrance instructions. Any restrictions associated with these special areas will be explained by the District IPM Coordinator. The Contractor shall adhere to these restrictions and incorporate them into the Pest Management Plan.
Safety and Health. To consider constructively the improvement of safety and health conditions that may be hazardous and provide input for correction/elimination of those conditions to the Health Services Department Safety Committee.
Safety and Health. Plan or Safety Plan shall have the meaning set forth in Technical Provision 25. Schematic Plan shall mean the roadway schematic plan for the design of the Project set forth on Exhibit D-1 to this Agreement.

  • Performance of the Contract for all commodities or contractual services must comply with requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and other applicable State of Florida and federal requirements.

Safety and Health. To consider collaboratively the improvement of safety and health conditions that may be hazardous and provide input for correction/elimination of those conditions to the Public Health Nursing Director/or designee.
Safety and Health means: Conditions related to the design and manufacture of the wind turbine that may pose a risk to property and to the safety and health of persons and livestock during the installation, maintenance or use of the wind turbine.
Safety and Health. The Employer shall make reasonable provisions for the safety and health of its employees during the hours of their employment. An employee injured during working hours, and unable to continue work, shall receive the remainder of the shift off without loss of pay, providing the employee is examined by a doctor who determines that said injury would keep the employee from being able to perform their normal security duties. The Employer and employees shall be governed by the applicable Worker's Compensation Laws.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Law means any Legal Requirement designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards, and any program, whether governmental or private (including those promulgated or sponsored by industry associations and insurance companies), designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act means the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No 85 of 1993);

  • Rail Safety Act means the Rail Safety Act 1998 (WA);

  • Federal Clean Air Act means Chapter 85 (§ 7401 et seq.) of Title 42 of the United States Code.

  • Rodenticide means any substance or mixture of substances intended to prevent, destroy, repel, or mitigate rodents or any other vertebrate animal which the director of the state department of agriculture may declare by regulation to be a pest.

  • Environmental, Health and Safety Laws means the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, each as amended, together with all other laws (including rules, regulations, codes, plans, injunctions, judgments, orders, decrees, rulings, and charges thereunder) of federal, state, local, and foreign governments (and all agencies thereof) concerning pollution or protection of the environment, public health and safety, or employee health and safety, including laws relating to emissions, discharges, releases, or threatened releases of pollutants, contaminants, or chemical, industrial, hazardous, or toxic materials or wastes into ambient air, surface water, ground water, or lands or otherwise relating to the manufacture, processing, distribution, use, treatment, storage, disposal, transport, or handling of pollutants, contaminants, or chemical, industrial, hazardous, or toxic materials or wastes.

  • Clean air standards, as used in this clause, means:

  • Fungicide means any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling or mitigating any fungi.

  • Health and Safety Plan means a documented plan which addresses hazards identified and includes safe work procedures to mitigate, reduce or control the hazards identified;

  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) means the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

  • Disaster Management Act means the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No.57 of 2002)

  • Water Act, as used in this clause, means Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.).

  • The "Clean Air Act means those provisions contained in 42 U.S.C. §§ 7401 to 7671q, and regulations promulgated thereunder.

  • Pollution prevention means any activity that through process changes, product reformulation or redesign, or substitution of less polluting raw materials, eliminates or reduces the release of air pollutants (including fugitive emissions) and other pollutants to the environment prior to recycling, treatment, or disposal; it does not mean recycling (other than certain “in-process recycling” practices), energy recovery, treatment, or disposal.

  • Environmental pollution means the contaminating or rendering unclean or impure the air, land or waters of the state, or making the same injurious to public health, harmful for commer- cial or recreational use, or deleterious to fish, bird, animal or plant life.

  • PBR Act means the Plant Breeder’s Rights Xxx 0000 (Cth) as amended from time to time.

  • OSHA means the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, as amended from time to time, and any successor statute.

  • Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements means all federal, state, local and foreign statutes, regulations, and ordinances concerning public health and safety, worker health and safety, and pollution or protection of the environment, including without limitation all those relating to the presence, use, production, generation, handling, transportation, treatment, storage, disposal, distribution, labeling, testing, processing, discharge, release, threatened release, control, or cleanup of any hazardous materials, substances or wastes, as such requirements are enacted and in effect on or prior to the Closing Date.

  • Air Act, as used in this clause, means the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. 7401 et seq.).

  • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act means the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 6901, et seq., as amended.

  • Accident and health insurance means contracts that incorporate morbidity risk and provide protection against economic loss resulting from accident, sickness, or medical conditions and as may be specified in the valuation manual.

  • Clean Water Act or “CWA" means the federal Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C §1251 et seq.), formerly referred to as the Federal Water Pollution Control Act or Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972, Public Law 92-500, as amended by Public Law 95-217, Public Law 95-576, Public Law 96-483, and Public Law 97-117, or any subsequent revisions thereto.
