Travelling Away From Home. This Appendix applies to employees who are required to remain away from home for the purposes of work, training or any other work related purpose (herein referred to as “TAH”). Any existing superior arrangements in relation to TAH will continue apply over and above this Appendix. The Employer is committed to provide an agreed standard of support, workplace amenities and living conditions for those personnel who are TAH.

Travelling Away From Home. (This clause is to be read in conjunction with the company’s Travelling/Living Away from Home Policy). The Company is committed to provide an adequate standard of support, workplace amenities and living conditions for Employees who are temporarily required to remain away from home due to their work location. Where Employees are required to remain away from home overnight: • The Company will supply suitable accommodation and three adequate meals each day; or • The Company may, in lieu of providing meals, elect to pay the Employee a daily Travelling Meals Allowance in accordance with Appendix A. If this occurs no additional payment will be provided for out of pocket expenses. If an allowance is paid, it is paid for the purpose of reimbursing estimated reasonable out of pocket costs and does not form part of ordinary time earnings. The Company agrees to reimburse any work related out of pocket expenses which an Employee may incur whilst they are away from home. Where an employee is travelling away from home, the accommodation provided to them becomes their ‘place of residencefor the purposes of determining any entitlement to payment for excess travel time under Clause 9.5 of this Agreement.

  • LIVING AWAY FROM HOME ALLOWANCE 27.1 For the purpose of this Clause, a “distant project” is one where the location of the “on-site project work” is such that because of its distance or because of the travelling facilities available to and from the location, it is reasonably necessary for an employee to live and sleep at some place other than his/her usual place of residence.

  • Pension Contributions While on Short Term Disability Contributions for OMERS Plan Members When an employee/plan member is on short-term sick leave and receiving less than 100% of regular salary, the Board will continue to deduct and remit OMERS contributions based on 100% of the employee/plan member’s regular pay.

  • Deductions from Sick Leave A deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave of all normal working days (exclusive of holidays) absent for sick leave.

  • Special Parental Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who:

  • Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Participation Pursuant to Education Code section 71028 and Public Contract Code section 10115, the District may have a participation goal for disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) of at least three (3) percent per year of funds expended each year by the District on projects that use funds from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office. This Project may use funds allocated under the Act. Therefore, to the extent feasible and pertaining to future hirings, the Consultant, before it executes the Agreement, shall provide to the District certification of compliance with the procedures for implementation of DVBE contracting goals, appropriate documentation identifying the amount(s) intended to be paid to DVBEs in conjunction with the contract, and documentation demonstrating the Consultant’s good faith efforts to meet these goals.

  • Childrearing Leave 1. Any teacher who has acquired tenure and is expecting a child, or whose spouse is expecting a child, or who has documented plans in the immediate future to adopt or xxxxxx a child of preschool age or a preteen child with special needs or who is non-English speaking, may be granted a long-term leave without pay for child-rearing purposes up to two (2) full semesters or a reasonably requested portion thereof within the same school year.
