Supervision/Special Events. With regard to supervision and extra-duty assignments outside the conventional work day, a teacher ordinarily shall have no more than one (1) per year. A teacher shall be able to select from among the available supervision/extra-duty assignments, on a first come, first serve basis. If after the voluntary sign ups and the involuntary assignments, resulting in all teachers having one assignment, there are necessary assignments remaining, volunteers shall again be solicited. If there are insufficient volunteers the second involuntary assignments shall be made on an inverse seniority basis. Teachers shall not choose as their duty any activity for which they are the sponsor. Open house, curriculum day, parent informational activity, and stipend positions are not considered as supervision and extra-duty assignments under this section.

Supervision/Special Events. Deleted: Every effort shall be made to secure qualified substitute teachers to assume the duties of regularly employed teachers in their absence. Each school shall maintain a list of teachers who would be willing to substitute during their preparation period when no external substitute is available, which shall apply to all certified staff, including certified staff not classroom based, which list shall be delivered to the central administration office and the union president by September 30. For purposes of this section, non- classroom staff shall include Academic Facilitators (Reading, Math, Science/Social Studies, Technology, Bilingual, PBIS, RtI), Hearing Itinerants, Special Education Coordinators, RtI/PBIS Coaches, Special Education Elementary Instructional Coaches, Speech Language Pathologists, Union President, and positions of like structure. Non-classroom staff will substitute in a classroom one day per month and such staff will maintain their allotted number of preparation periods a week. Such staff will identify what building assignment they will cover in advance to coordinate scheduling. Where feasible, such list of teachers shall be utilized before any other teachers are requested to serve. ¶ ¶ B.   • Special Events During the Term of the Agreement, the Concessionaire may schedule events for dates up to 12 months after the Agreement’s end date. For all events scheduled during the 12-month post-agreement period, the Concessionaire will provide a copy of the original event contract to the Department. All special event contracts for events after the Agreement’s end date must provide notice that the contract may be assigned to another concessionaire at the Department’s request. The Department may either issue a permit authorizing the Concessionaire to fulfill these event obligations or require the Concessionaire to assign the contracts and deposits to another concessionaire. In the event of a cancellation, the Concessionaire will not pursue or accept a replacement date or event, unless the Department’s Agreement Manager gives written pre-approval. After the Agreement’s end date, the Concessionaire will not schedule any additional events or reschedule existing events.

  • Emergency Closures A. The University’s inability to make a Room available to me for any reason beyond the University’s control including, but not limited to, natural disaster, fire, flood, earthquake, condemnation, pandemic, quarantine, utility malfunction, infestation, or other emergency or force majeure event shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement by the University. In such circumstances, the University shall have no liability to me in any way for injuries, reimbursement, damages, inconvenience, annoyance or compensation of any kind. The University may attempt to find, but cannot guarantee, an alternative space for me. If the unavailability of my Room or an alternative space persists for more than 72 hours, I may terminate this Agreement and Check out during said unavailability without penalty provided that I shall be responsible for all financial obligations incurred up to the date of such termination. The University agrees to provide me with a pro rata refund, calculated from the date of such termination to the end of the Agreement Period, of any prepaid housing and dining payment made to the University, and to return my Deposit pursuant to this Agreement. Upon resumption of standard operations, Agreement Termination requirements and charges will apply as described in Section XIV.

  • Emergency Closure Where there is a temporary closure as a result of an immediate emergency or a planned temporary closure due to renovations, repairs, or moves, the Employer will:

  • Legal Action; Utilization of Special Receivership Powers The Assuming Institution shall notify the Receiver in writing (such notice to be given in accordance with Article V below and to include all relevant details) prior to utilizing in any legal action any special legal power or right which the Assuming Institution derives as a result of having acquired an asset from the Receiver, and the Assuming Institution shall not utilize any such power unless the Receiver shall have consented in writing to the proposed usage. The Receiver shall have the right to direct such proposed usage by the Assuming Institution and the Assuming Institution shall comply in all respects with such direction. Upon request of the Receiver, the Assuming Institution will advise the Receiver as to the status of any such legal action. The Assuming Institution shall immediately notify the Receiver of any judgment in litigation involving any of the aforesaid special powers or rights.

  • Emergency Closing 1. Management shall decide when, if, and to what extent State facilities shall remain open or closed during emergencies, such as adverse weather conditions, acts of God, equipment breakdown, inoperable bathroom facilities, extreme office temperatures, etc.

  • Limited Liability in Emergency Conditions Except as otherwise provided in the Tariff or the Operating Agreement, no Interconnection Party shall be liable to any other Interconnection Party for any action that it takes in responding to an Emergency Condition, so long as such action is made in good faith, is consistent with Good Utility Practice and is not contrary to the directives of the Transmission Provider or of the Interconnected Transmission Owner with respect to such Emergency Condition. Notwithstanding the above, Interconnection Customer shall be liable in the event that it fails to comply with any instructions of Transmission Provider or the Interconnected Transmission Owner related to an Emergency Condition.

  • Events Beyond Our Control If an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and prevents Us from performing any of Our obligations under this Contract to any extent, then We are not required to perform that obligation to the extent and for as long as We are prevented by that Event Beyond Our Control. If such an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and We consider it appropriate to do so, We may notify You of the Event Beyond Our Control by any reasonable means, including by a public announcement.
