Emergency Closure definition

Emergency Closure. A closure of licensed residential care facilities that occurs without the facility providing the required 30-day notice to residents and the state (or sixty (60) Calendar Days’ notice as required for I/DD facilities pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 122C-63(b)) as described in posted lawful guidance.

Examples of Emergency Closure in a sentence

  • To be eligible for the Emergency Closure Pay, an employee must work either the day before or the day after the closure, if those are regularly scheduled workdays for the employee.

  • Employees that work 250 days or more who are notified not to report for work on an emergency closure day, will be paid for a maximum of two (2) days for Emergency Closure Pay during the school year.

  • In the event of other unforeseen emergencies affecting residents of Franklin County only, the County Administrator may declare an Emergency Closure status for all or individual agencies of the Board of Commissioners.

  • Each year, the principal will distribute to parents or guardians a letter and handbook statement addressing the subject of Emergency Closure of School.

  • Due to the nature of an Emergency Closure, overtime equalization will not be considered applicable.

  • An employee may choose comp time for hours worked in lieu of Emergency Closure Pay.

  • These employees will receive their normal daily wage plus the additional Emergency Closure Pay (defined as an employee’s regular rate of pay for hours worked).

  • It is also understood that Related Service Providers shall be required to work for any “Make Up” Days scheduled and resulting from any Emergency Closure.

  • It is understood that Related Service Providers (RN Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Art Therapist, Case Worker, Behavioral Specialist, Music Therapist, Interpreter, Audiologist) shall not be required to report to work during Any Emergency Closure.

  • If an employee is already in a status compensated at the rate of time and one-half (1½), and they then enter a second status compensated at the rate of time and one-half (1½) including but not limited to Call Back or working in an Emergency Closure, the employee shall be compensated at the rate of double time.
