Emergency Closure. Where there is a temporary closure as a result of an immediate emergency or a planned temporary closure due to renovations, repairs, or moves, the Employer will:
Emergency Closure. In the event the District has to declare an emergency closure, the District reserves the right to alter work schedules and/or identify the closure day(s) as a non-work, non-paid day(s).
Emergency Closure a. Bargaining unit members will not suffer a loss in pay when the College or a site is closed due to an emergency situation such as weather, fire, or mechanical failure.

Emergency Closure. Any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or designated holiday on which the Day Care Centre is officially closed shall be designated a closure, and no employee shall suffer any loss of pay.
Emergency Closure. A. When school is canceled because of an emergency closure, an announcement will be made that employees shall report or employees need not report unless called. If employees are not required to report, the day will be paid and not charged to any leave balance. There are two exceptions to the content of the announcements:

Emergency Closure. 18.1 Employees shall not be required to report to work, except as provided in Section 18.2, and shall not be charged leave time/vacation when student attendance is not required due to inclement weather. This includes previously scheduled leave time. If the Board requires students and/or staff to make up days lost due to inclement weather, then all employees shall be required to fulfill their regular duties on those days without additional compensation.

(a) In the case of a District-determined emergency requiring employees to serve as Disaster Service Workers, the District may close down operations as necessary campus-wide, or in identified areas, and send employees home. Employees needed by the District to respond to emergencies will be required to report to the El Camino College Incident Commander, or other appropriate emergency response official as directed. Employees scheduled to work later in the day, excluding those on personal leave, vacation, sick leave, or any other paid leave, shall be compensated at their regular rate of pay during the emergency shut-down. California Government Code 3100 declares that public employees are Disaster Service Workers subject to such disaster service activities as may be assigned to them by their supervisors or by law. Section 3100 applies to El Camino College employees in the following cases: 1) when a local emergency has been proclaimed, 2) when a state emergency has been proclaimed, or 3) when a federal disaster declaration has been made. Employees required to work in these emergency circumstances shall be compensated at one and one-half times their hourly rate in effect at the time they are required to work.
Emergency Closure. Should the City make the decision to close City Hall due to an emergency which makes it unsafe for all non-essential employees to come to work and it could interfere with the work of our public safety employees, and all non-essential employees receive regular pay for the day, the bargaining unit employees who are scheduled to work that day will receive an additional eight
