SECURING A SUBSTITUTE. In the event a teacher is going to be unavailable for work, the teacher shall follow the Board’s designated procedure for securing a substitute as early as possible. The failure of a teacher to timely notify the Board or its designee of unavailability for work so that a substitute may be obtained shall result in the regular teacher losing a day’s pay. Teachers are not to employ substitute teachers directly under any circumstances. If a teacher becomes ill during regular school hours, the teacher shall promptly notify the building principal so that other arrangements may be made to cover the teacher’s responsibilities.

SECURING A SUBSTITUTE. Absent regular employees will be replaced with a substitute, providing a substitute is available. No bargaining unit member will be required to perform duties outside of their job description unless a substitute has been secured to perform the bargaining unit member’s daily duties. The work/assignment of an absent employee shall not be assigned to or absorbed by bargaining unit members.
SECURING A SUBSTITUTE. In the event a teacher is going to be unavailable for work, the teacher shall call a telephone number established by the Board or its designee for each building as early as possible during reasonable notification periods, but not later than as directed prior to the teacher’s established reporting time. Once a teacher has reported as being unavailable for work, it shall be the responsibility of the Administration to arrange for a substitute teacher. In the case of itinerant teachers who are assigned to more than one (1) building, it shall be the responsibility of the teacher to inform appropriate personnel in the building(s) where the itinerant teacher is assigned. Classroom teachers in the affected buildings shall be advised of the absence of any itinerant teacher so they may plan accordingly. It shall be the responsibility of the teacher to call the school before the close of the student’s school day, the day preceding the intended date of return in order that the substitute can be released.   • Substitution of Equipment In the event the Computer is inoperable, ASL has a limited number of spare laptops for use while the Computer is being repaired or replaced. This agreement remains in effect for such a substitute. The Student may NOT opt to keep a broken Computer or to avoid using the Computer due to loss or damage.

  • Long-Term Substitutes Long-term substitutes are defined as teachers hired to fill the temporary vacancy of a teacher on leave in the same assignment for more than sixty (60) days. The employment of long-term substitutes shall automatically expire at the end of the period of substitution or upon return to duty of the teacher from an approved leave of absence without any action by the Board or further notice to the teacher.

  • Pay During Temporary Transfers When an employee temporarily relieves in or performs the principal duties of a higher paying position she shall receive the rate for the job. When an employee is temporarily assigned to a lower paying position than her own, her rate shall not be reduced.

  • Substitute Checks You agree not to deposit any substitute check or similar item that you have created, or for which no financial institution has provided any substitute check warranties and indemnity. If you do so, you agree to indemnify us for all losses we incur in connection with the substitute check or item. You agree not to deposit any substitute check without our consent.

  • Internal Substitution A. Every reasonable effort will be made to secure substitutes for teachers when they are absent from duty.

  • Holding and using a PayPal balance You will not receive interest or any other earnings on the money in your account. This is because the money in your account is electronic money and European law forbids paying interest on electronic money. Also, electronic money is not a deposit or an investment under Luxembourg law, so the Luxembourg deposit guarantee or investor indemnity schemes administered by the Conseil des Protection des Deposants et des Investisseurs cannot protect you. We may store and move the money in your account in and between: • the PayPal balance; and • the reserve account, at any given time subject further to this user agreement. PayPal balance The operational part of your account contains your PayPal balance, which is the balance of money available for payments or withdrawals. When you use our payment service to pay another user, you instruct us to transfer the money from your PayPal balance to the recipient’s account. You need to have enough PayPal balance in cleared funds to cover the amount of any payment you make and the transaction fees you owe us at the time of the payment. Other requirements also apply – see the section Making a Payment below. If you have insufficient PayPal balance or have chosen a preferred funding source you are also requesting us to obtain funds on your behalf from your applicable funding source and issue electronic money to your PayPal balance for your payment to be made. When you withdraw your money you need to have enough PayPal balance to cover the value of any withdrawal at the time of the withdrawal. See Adding or Withdrawing Money to know how to get a PayPal balance and how to withdraw it. If your PayPal balance shows a negative amount, this is the net amount you owe to us at the given time. Reserve account Money marked in your account overview as “pending”, “uncleared”, “held” or otherwise restricted or limited at any given time is held in the part of your account which acts as a reserve account. You cannot access and use money stored in the reserve account.
