Section 7.16 Sample Clauses

Section 7.16. 46 Special assignments, such as extended overnight trips, shall be contracted at the appropriate rate of pay 47 for the actual driving time or the equivalent of eight (8) hours appropriate pay per day, whichever is 1 greater, except for the first day of the trip when pay will be for actual driving time or route pack time, 2 whichever is greater, and on the last day of the trip when pay will be for all time related to the trip.

Section 7.16. 33 Employees may be given an opportunity to provide services different from their regular job descriptions 34 and/or different from any existing position description on a non-continuing basis. These services may 35 include those related to school activities, non-continuing or Leave Replacement Positions (not to extend 36 past the District’s fiscal year) to accomplish needed tasks. Selection will be made from volunteers only 37 based on qualifications as determined by the District and will be compensated as provided for elsewhere 38 in this Agreement. Employees who are employed in more than one classification shall be paid the 39 appropriate rate for each classification including but not limited to, Section 18.2.3 of this Agreement.
Section 7.16. 41 Extra trips shall be awarded based on seniority. 42
Section 7.16. 29 Employees assigned to work a shift normally filled by a higher classification shall receive the higher 30 hourly rate, including appropriate incremental steps, effective the first day of assignment. 32 If the assignment lasts twenty (20) consecutive days or longer, the employee shall be compensated at 33 the higher rate of pay for all holiday, sick time, overtime and leaves. 35 A. Regular employees who substitute in an equal or lower paid job within their general job 36 classification shall receive their regular rate of pay. 37 B. Bus drivers who work in a special education paraeducator – bus route capacity will be paid on a 38 step increment to step increment basis.
Section 7.16. Drivers will be allowed to take consecutive trips if, and only if, there is a minimum of one (1) 8 hour of elapsed time from the scheduled return time of the first trip and the scheduled departure 9 of the second trip.
Section 7.16. 20 In emergency situations (extreme driver shortage), the mechanic can be used for up to four (4) hours 21 daily for other duties. An emergency is an unexpected situation or sudden occurrence of a serious or 22 urgent nature that demands immediate attention.
Section 7.16 of job openings that occur during non-student days, summer vacation, spring break 30 and winter break, will be sent to the employee’s current email address (which shall be the school email 32 mailing address if employee elects not to receive notices electronically. 36 A R T I C L E V I I I 37 38 LEAVE, VACATIONS AND HOLIDAYS 39
Section 7.16. 6 Recognizing that some work years have more than two hundred sixty (260) workdays, fulltime 7 employees shall have the option to work the extra day(s) and be compensated at their regular hourly 8 rate of pay; or take the day(s) off as leave without pay. The District will notify the effected employees 9 when the work year has over two hundred sixty (260) workdays. Each employee will in turn notify the 10 District prior to January 1 of the work year as to whether he/she will work the days or take as leave 11 without pay.
Section 7.16. 11 A physician’s statement of illness may be required under the following conditions: 12 1. When there is a question regarding the employee’s fitness for duty. 13 2. When the employee has exhausted all available sick leave. 14 3. When an illness exceeds five (5) days.
