Scope and Coverage of Agreement Sample Clauses

Scope and Coverage of Agreement. The parties to this collective employment agreement (“CEA”) negotiated under the Policing Xxx 0000, and the Employment Relations Xxx 0000, are the New Zealand Police (“Police”) the Police Association (the “Association”) and the Public Service Association (the “PSA”.) The parties agree to the Police Managers’ Guild becoming a party to this CEA. This occurred on 22 November 2018. This Agreement covers permanent full-time or part-time Police employees who are members of the Association, PSA or members of the Managers’ Guild, the latter as a subsequent party, whose positions are within the total remuneration bands A-J. Employees covered by this Agreement will be engaged as permanent, except part time employees may be engaged where the work is ongoing (not casual or temporary) and capable of being performed efficiently on a part time basis. For avoidance of doubt this Agreement’s coverage includes Authorised Officers employed under the Policing Xxx 0000. An employee’s personal terms and conditions of employment comprise this Agreement and any additional terms and conditions confirmed in their appointment letter. Other Police policies and procedures also apply. Such policies and procedures may be amended by Police from time to time, but may not be inconsistent with this Agreement. An employee joining the Association or the PSA during the currency of this Agreement becomes bound by this Agreement which wholly supersedes any previous terms and conditions of employment, whether written, implied, or otherwise, with Police. A new employee, not a member of the Association or the PSA, will be engaged on the terms and conditions of this Agreement for the first 30 days of employment.
