Appointment to Position With Remuneration Change. Progression between bands shall be on appointment to an established position or, for positions established over a range of bands by merit. Where a person is appointed to a position, the normal period of taking up the position will be within four calendar weeks of the person being confirmed in a letter of appointment. The new remuneration will be paid from the date of taking up the new role. If Police determine a person cannot take up the new position within four weeks of the unconditional offer, the new rate applies from the four week date, this includes delays because of operational requirements, the direction to take leave or already planned leave. New salary for employees moving down a band applies from the date of taking up the new role.

  • Medical Appointments Medical appointments may be charged to sick leave, provided the minimum time charged is not less than one-half (1/2) hour. Each absence shall be reported separately and authorized in advance by the employee's immediate supervisor.
