Reducing Waste. A. The Council shall create a waste diversion plan template that Affected Entities shall use to complete their plans. All Affected Entities shall create a waste diversion plan and file such plan with the Council that outlines how they will meet the following goals: 1. A decrease in waste disposal of 10 percent every five years from a baseline of Fiscal Year 2018-19, until reaching a goal of 75 percent. 2. Waste data reported for these goals should be broken out into the following categories: recycled materials; compostable materials and other organics; material sent to landfill (including construction and demolition waste); and special waste (including hazardous waste). 3. The waste diversion plan shall incorporate at least the following elements: a. a schedule for conducting routine waste audits of facilities and how the findings from the waste audit will be utilized in advancing waste reduction; b. a plan for diverting organic waste from landfill to meet the diversion goals;
Reducing Waste. Pursuant to Executive Order 22, which is annexed hereto as Exhibit 2, the Lessee shall identify all instances where single-use plastics are used in the common areas of the Plaza, as that term is defined in Section 1 (d) of this Lease, the Demised Premises or in performance of its obligations pursuant to this Lease and create a plan to eliminate their use in all circumstances where doing so will not endanger employee or public health and safety. In addition, Executive Order 22 prohibits the expenditure of State funds for the purchase of bottled water. The Lessee acknowledges an understanding of the requirements of EO-22, which is annexed hereto as Exhibit 2, and pledges to cooperate with the State in their implementation.
Reducing Waste. At the fulfillment center, when we fill a customer’s order, we use cartonization technology to determine the optimal package size for shipping – reducing waste and saving money for us, and our customers. Our fulfillment center locations are based on next-day U.S. ground shipping to our customers – using the fewest number of locations to serve the maximum number of customers. Working with our global package delivery provider, we look at ways to minimize air cost, the delivery cost per package and miles driven to provide the most efficient shipping process possible. Reducing Waste. In addition to observing the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, we strive to mitigate the environmental impacts associated with waste with the following measures: • At all assets, reduction, recycling and reuse are prioritised over disposal. • At Sheraton Chengdu, waste from catering service is separated into dry and wet. Dry waste such as paper, glass and plastic is regularly recycled. Wet waste is put in freezers and handled by third-party providers. • At Hyatt Regency Liberation Square Chongqing, solid waste, cooking oil and hazardous waste is collected and handled by third-party providers. • At Beijing Oriental Plaza, hazardous waste such as fluorescent light tubes is collected and properly treated by licensed third-party providers. Our assets actively explore environmentally friendly alternatives. Hyatt Regency Liberation Square Chongqing uses social media and other electronic means as promotional tools to replace printed material. Restaurant takeaways are in paper bags instead of plastic. Grand Hyatt Beijing uses sustainable straws and laundry bags rather than plastic ones. Reducing Waste. The Union agrees to assist the Employer in accomplishing maximum production, in reducing waste, and in stimulating participation in the Suggestion Program.

Related to Reducing Waste

  • Recycling If this Agreement provides for the purchase or use of goods specified in PCC 12207 (for example, certain paper products, office supplies, mulch, glass products, lubricating oils, plastic products, paint, antifreeze, tires and tire-derived products, and metal products), this section is applicable with respect to those goods. Without limiting the foregoing, if this Agreement includes (i) document printing, (ii) parts cleaning, or (iii) janitorial and building maintenance services, this section is applicable. Contractor shall use recycled products in the performance of this Agreement to the maximum extent doing so is economically feasible. Upon request, Contractor shall certify in writing under penalty of perjury, the minimum, if not exact, percentage of post consumer material as defined in the PCC 12200, in such goods regardless of whether the goods meet the requirements of PCC 12209. With respect to printer or duplication cartridges that comply with the requirements of PCC 12156(e), the certification required by this subdivision shall specify that the cartridges so comply.

  • NOISE/WASTE The Tenant agrees not to commit waste on the premises, maintain, or permit to be maintained, a nuisance thereon, or use, or permit the premises to be used, in an unlawful manner. The Tenant further agrees to abide by any and all local, county, and State noise ordinances.

  • Waste Disposal Tenant shall store its waste either inside the Premises or within outside trash enclosures that are fully fenced and screened in compliance with all Private Restrictions, and designed for such purpose. All entrances to such outside trash enclosures shall be kept closed, and waste shall be stored in such manner as not to be visible from the exterior of such outside enclosures. Tenant shall cause all of its waste to be regularly removed from the Premises at Tenant’s sole cost. Tenant shall keep all fire corridors and mechanical equipment rooms in the Premises free and clear of all obstructions at all times.

  • Waste Borrower shall not commit or suffer any waste of the Property or make any change in the use of the Property which will in any way materially increase the risk of fire or other hazard arising out of the operation of the Property, or take any action that might invalidate or give cause for cancellation of any Policy, or do or permit to be done thereon anything that may in any way impair the value of the Property or the security of this Security Instrument. Borrower will not, without the prior written consent of Lender, permit any drilling or exploration for or extraction, removal, or production of any minerals from the surface or the subsurface of the Land, regardless of the depth thereof or the method of mining or extraction thereof.
