PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL EXAMINATION. All applicants selected for employment, including those who have left county employment and return, must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical examination. The examination will be scheduled at a location designated by the County and will include a test for detection of illegal drugs. If the drug test is positive, the applicant will not be employed. The applicant may, however, elect to have a retest of the original (or split sample), for which they will be required to pay 100% of the cost. If the second test is negative, the County will reimburse the test cost to the applicant and the applicant will be eligible for employment.
