PBA Leave. The PBA President or his designee and State Delegate shall be released from duty without loss of pay to attend State and County PBA meetings. The PBA President or his designee and the State Delegate shall be allowed to attend the annual State PBA Mini-Convention without loss of pay and released from duty to attend. The PBA Delegate and the Alternate Delegate will be permitted to attend the PBA State Convention without loss of pay and shall be released from duty to attend.

PBA Leave. A permanent member or members nominated by the PBA may be granted leave of absence with full salary from the member's or members' regular position or positions for the purpose of serving with the employee organization, subject to the conditions of this section. Each such leave, its term and renewal, shall be subject to the discretionary approval of the Director of the Governor's Office of Employee Relations, or his/her designee. The PBA shall periodically, as specified by the Director of the Governor's Office of Employee Relations, or his/her designee, reimburse the State for the salary or wages paid to each such member by the State during such leave of absence, together with the cost of fringe benefits at the percentage of salary or wages as determined by the Comptroller. The PBA shall purchase an insurance policy in the form and amount satisfactory to the Director of the Governor's Office of Employee Relations, or his/her designee to protect the State in the event the State is held liable for any damages or suffers any loss by reason of any act or omission by such employee during the period of such leave of absence with full salary.

Members taking their first Sabbatical Leave after a probationary period at The University of Western Ontario shall receive 90.0% of their Base Salary; Members taking their second or subsequent Sabbatical Leave from The University of Western Ontario shall receive 85.0% of their Base Salary.

  • Carer’s Leave An employee may use up to 10 days accrued sick days as carers leave to tend to the care for members of the employee’s immediate household. The leave will be subject to the employee providing reasonable proof of the need for the use of xxxxx’s leave. In circumstances where the employee has exhausted all of the paid leave, a further 2 days unpaid leave may be taken.

  • Civil Leave Section 1. The Employer recognizes the responsibility of its employees to fulfill their civic duties as jurors and witnesses in court proceedings. The Employer agrees therefore to grant civil leave with pay to permanent employees:

  • Annual Leave (a) An employee may elect with the consent of the employer, subject to the Annual Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000, to take annual leave not exceeding five days in single day periods or part thereof, in any calendar year at a time or times agreed by the parties.

  • Maternity Leave (a) An employee is entitled to maternity leave of up to 17 weeks without pay.
