Part-time Employees - Long Service Leave Sample Clauses

Part-time Employees - Long Service Leave. A part-time employee accrues long service leave on a proportionate basis of the entitlement for a full-time employee. In determining the length of absence of a part-time employee on long service leave, employees should apply for the number of ordinary hours they would have been at work for the required period. The debit against the balance of accrued leave is to be the actual number of hours absent from duty as described. This principle also applies in the case of employees who have accrued their leave entitlements by working a combination of full-time and part-time employment.
