LEAVE OF ABSENCE AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. 19. GENERAL PROVISIONS For the purposes of determining an employee’s entitlement to leave, the following shall apply: [19.1 substituted by PR969417 ppc 07Mar06] 19.1 Except for casual entitlements under clause 15 and for eligible casuals as defined in clause 27.1 for the purposes of unpaid parental leave of up to 52 weeks as detailed in clauses 28, 29 & 30, an employee under this Part shall not include a person engaged as a casual teacher as defined in clause 5.4. 19.2 Service shall not include: 19.2.1 any period of unpaid leave other than that which may be recognised as service by the employer; 19.2.2 any period of service subsequent to the date from which a pension is payable under the provisions of the State Superannuation Act 1988 (Vic) or of such other pension schemes as may apply where the employee retires on the grounds of age or ill health until re-employed by an employer respondent to this award.
