Overtime 4. 2.1 Overtime is defined as any work authorized beyond the regular eight (8) hour day or forty (40) hour week specified in Section 5.1 of this Agreement. 4.2.2 Overtime shall be authorized by the supervisor prior to the commencement of overtime work. 4.2.3 Unit members working in an assignment requiring overtime shall be provided the opportunity to work, and all similarly classified employees at each school or other location will be afforded an equal opportunity, on a rotating basis, to work overtime until all similarly classified personnel at that location have had an opportunity to work a comparable amount of overtime. 4.2.4 If overtime is required in an area that requires a particular expertise or special knowledge (i.e., particular equipment operation or maintenance, or specific familiarity with a project, etc.) a classified employee may be requested to work out of the normal rotation sequence provided for in Section 4.2.3.

Overtime 4. 7.1 Where there is a requirement to work overtime in a section, such overtime shall be offered equally amongst Corporation employees in that section. If no suitable person is available in the section, the overtime can be offered to another person covered by this Agreement.
Overtime 4. 1 Due to the nature of the Company operations, some employees will be required to work overtime. Overtime will be minimized and managed within the limits of corporate effectiveness and customer impact. In recognition of employee well-being and inconvenience, an effort shall be made to equitably distribute overtime amongst all qualified employees. Overtime, as used herein, means that part of the actual working time which is outside the normal scheduled hours and is, therefore, subject to compensation at premium rates.

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

  • Overtime Pay a) A casual employee shall be entitled to overtime pay in accordance with Article 27.05 in the following circumstances:

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • Overtime Payment Full-time employees shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half times the employee's straight time hourly rate for all time worked outside of their normal work hours and/or work days up to sixteen (16) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period. For hours worked in excess of sixteen (16) in a twenty-four (24) hour period, employees shall be paid double time. Employees who receive an unpaid lunch period and are not required to work at their work assignments during such period shall not have such time treated as hours worked for the purpose of computing overtime.

  • Overtime Payments (1) Subject to the provisions of this subclause, all work performed outside of the Ordinary Hours and time worked to accrue an RDO on any day, Monday to Friday, inclusive, shall be paid for at the rate of time and one half for the first two hours and double time thereafter.
