WORK OUT OF. CLASSIFICATION An employee who works in a higher classification for longer than five (5) consecutive work days shall receive a temporary salary augmentation during the remainder of the time the employee works out-of-class. The augmentation will be at least four percent (4%) of the employee's current hourly rate, but no less than the base rate of the higher classification. Any overtime worked during this period shall be compensated by including the augmentation.

27.1 Work in a Higher Classification
27.1.1 An employee shall receive a temporary pay adjustment for performing assigned duties and responsibilities of a position in a higher pay grade. An increase in workload which is not related to a higher grade, shall not be considered grounds for a temporary pay increase.
