Overscaled Employees. Effective date of ratification, over-scaled employees shall receive the following percentage increases to their hourly rate of pay: • May 21, 2021 One point two five (1.25%) percent increase • May 15, 2022 One point two five (1.25%) percent increase • May 14, 2023 One point two five (1.25%) percent increase • May 15, 2023 Two (2.0%) percent increase Should the wage scale an overscaled employee is classified in increase above their current rate of pay, such employee would revert back onto the wage scale, and no longer be considered an overscaled employee. Overscaled Employees. Employees whose hourly rate of pay exceeds the top hourly rate of pay for job classification they are working in shall not have their hourly rate of pay reduced and in addition, shall receive the same increases that are provided to other employees working in the same classification. Each such employee shall remain overscaled until such time as they are no longer employed by the Employer or until such time as they have been permanently assigned to a job classification that provides an hourly rate of pay that exceeds the overscaled hourly rate of pay that was being paid to them.

Overscaled Employees. Any employee at a wage rate above the new published wage scale applicable to his/her year of service shall receive a lump sum equal to the percentage increase applicable to that increase date. The lump sum shall be based on the employee’s previous year’s T-4 earnings and shall be paid within thirty (30) days of the applicable percentage increase date.   • Newly Hired Employees All employees hired to an insurance eligible position must make their benefit elections by their initial effective date of coverage as defined in this Article, Section 5C. Insurance eligible employees will automatically be enrolled in basic life coverage. If employees eligible for a full Employer Contribution do not choose a health plan administrator and a primary care clinic by their initial effective date, and do not waive medical coverage, they will be enrolled in a Benefit Level Two clinic (or Level One, if available) that meets established access standards in the health plan with the largest number of Benefit Level One and Two clinics in the county of the employee’s residence at the beginning of the insurance year. If an employee does not choose a health plan administrator and primary care clinic by their initial effective date, but was previously covered as a dependent immediately prior to their initial effective date, they will be defaulted to the plan administrator and primary care clinic in which they were previously enrolled.

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • Per Diem Employees Section 1. A per diem employee is one that works on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the provisions of this article. Per diem employees will not be guaranteed to work a specific number of hours or a specific number of shifts per time block.
