Notice of Contract Suspension. No teacher covered hereunder shall have his/her contract suspended unless the affected teacher(s) and the Association's President have been given at least fourteen (14) day notice prior to the Board taking official action on the Superintendent's recommendation to suspend such contract.
Notice of Contract Suspension. No Instructional Employee shall have his/her contract suspended unless the affected Instructional Employee(s) has been given at least a fifteen (15) calendar days’ notice of the Superintendent's intention to recommend such suspension to the Board. Notice of any impending reduction in force shall be given to the Association President thirty (30) calendar days prior to the Board taking action under this Article.
Notice of Contract Suspension. No bargaining unit member covered hereunder shall have his/her contract suspended unless the affected bargaining unit member has been given at least a ten (10) business day notice prior to the Board action.
Notice of Contract Suspension. When the Superintendent intends to recommend suspension of contracts to achieve a reduction in force, he/she shall give notice of such intent to the Association President fifteen (15) calendar days prior to Board action. A seniority list shall be prepared and kept updated ranking all tenured teachers in the District by seniority, giving areas of certification and present teaching and building assignment, followed by all nontenured teachers in the District in a like manner. The Association President shall be supplied a copy of this list and each update upon request.

Whenever possible, notice of any impending reduction in force shall be given to the Association President thirty (30) days prior to the Board taking action under this Article. The Association and Board agree that the provisions of this Article 17 do not conflict with the requirements of Ohio Revised Code Section 3319.17

When the superintendent is considering the need for a reduction in staff, he/she shall so notify the FEA president at least twenty (20) calendar days prior to board action on a recommendation to reduce staff. Such notice shall include a list of positions eliminated and the members affected. A separate seniority list shall be prepared and kept updated ranking all tenured and non-tenured members in the district by seniority, giving areas of certification and present teaching and building assignment. The FEA president shall be supplied a copy in November and March of each school year.
