Leave for Personal Matters. To allow employees time off to attend to such matters which are not urgent and are purely personal in nature, but which are of such character as to require a short absence from work. The District will determine the length of time it will grant for such leave in each individual case. The District reserves the right to extend a given leave if it deems it desirable to do so. The District may grant a leave of absence when an employee still has accrued leave in a leave bank(s), however, the District may require usage of all available accrued leave prior to granting leave without pay. During the period of time in which an employee is on leave of absence, the employee shall not accumulate service with the District. Any employee who fails to return to work upon conclusion of the agreed upon leave of absence shall be considered to have voluntarily terminated employment with the District. Employees on leave of absence shall have the option to pay any costs involved with and continue to participate in the Health and Welfare programs and life insurance.

  • No Personal Liability of Shareholders, Trustees, etc No Shareholder of the Trust shall be subject in such capacity to any personal liability whatsoever to any Person in connection with Trust Property or the acts, obligations or affairs of the Trust. Any repeal or modification of this Section 5.1 shall not adversely affect any right or protection of a Trustee or officer of the Trust existing at the time of such repeal or modification with respect to acts or omissions occurring prior to such repeal or modification.
