Job Sharing Employee. Job Sharing Employee shall refer to two employees who initiate the arrangements for filling a single position in a manner mutually agreed to by those persons, as well as the Association, and the administrative unit principal. Such teaching arrangement will be strictly voluntary and persons scheduled in such an arrangement shall be defined as part-time employees. Salary, fringe benefits, and seniority accrual for part-time employees shall be set at a proportional rate. Seniority shall accrue in one-month increments for every twenty (20) consecutive teaching days of service as a part-time employee.

  • JOB SHARING 20.01 Job sharing is defined as an arrangement whereby two or more nurses share the hours of work of what would otherwise be one full-time position. If the Hospital and the Association agree to a job sharing arrangement, the introduction or discontinuance of such job sharing arrangements will be determined locally.

  • Regular Part-Time Employee A regular part-time employee is an employee hired to fill a posted part-time position and is regularly pre-scheduled to work.

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • Part-Time Employee Part-time employee" means an employee who is normally scheduled to work fewer than 80 hours in a biweekly payroll period.

  • Auxiliary Employee (i) Auxiliary employee means an employee of the bargaining unit not employed as a regular employee and may be employed for:

  • Disabled Employees If an employee becomes disabled with the result that he is unable to carry out the regular functions of his position, the Hospital may establish a special classification and salary with the hope of providing an opportunity of continued employment.

  • Returning Employee Rights Employees returning from authorized leave without pay will be employed in the same position or in another position in the same job classification, as determined by the Employer, provided that such reemployment is not in conflict with other articles in this Agreement. The employee and the Employer may enter into a written agreement regarding return rights at the commencement of the leave.

  • Regular Employee Seniority for a regular employee is defined as the length of the employee’s continuous employment (whether full-time or part-time) from the date of commencement of regular employment, plus any seniority accrued, while working as a casual employee of the Employer.
