HOURS – OTHER THAN CONTINUOUS WORK SHIFTS. This clause shall apply to shift workers not upon continuous work (as defined). Subject to Implementation of 38 Hour Week, the ordinary hours of work shall be an average of 38 per week to be worked on one of the following bases: • 38 hours within a period not exceeding seven consecutive days; or • 76 hours within a period not exceeding fourteen consecutive days; or • 114 hours within a period not exceeding twenty-one consecutive days; or • 152 hours within a period not exceeding twenty-eight consecutive days. The ordinary hours shall be worked continuously except for meal breaks at the discretion of the employer. An employee shall not be required to work for more than five hours without a break for a meal. Except at regular change-over of shifts an employee shall not be required to work more than one shift in each twenty-four hours. A shift shall consist of a number of hours inclusive of crib-time. Provided that in where the number of ordinary working hours to be worked on one day exceeds eight (8), agreement shall be reached between the employer, employees and the Union if requested and if necessary subject to the disputes resolution.

  • Consecutive Hours of Work The daily hours of work for each employee shall be consecutive.

  • Hours of Service The minimum number of Hours of Service an Employee must complete during a vesting computation period to receive credit for a Year of Service is: (Choose (c) or (d)) [X] (c) 1,000 Hours of Service.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Hours Worked For the purpose of computing the number of hours worked, all time during which an employee is in paid status shall be construed as hours worked.

  • Unit Weekend Schedule A unit weekend schedule may be developed in order to meet the Hospital’s need for weekend staff, and individual nurses’ preference for a weekend work schedule. A unit weekend schedule is defined as a schedule in which a full-time nurse works a weekly average of thirty (30) hours and is paid for 37.5 hours at her or his regular straight time hourly rate. The schedule must include two 11.25 hour tours, which fall within a weekend period as determined by the Hospital and the Association. A nurse working a weekend schedule will work every weekend except as provided for in the provisions below. If the Hospital and the Association agree to a unit weekend schedule, the introduction of that schedule and the manner in which the position(s) are filled, shall be determined by the local parties and recorded in the Appendix of Local Provisions. This unit schedule may be discontinued by either party with notice as determined within the Appendix of Local Provisions. The opportunity for an individual nurse to discontinue this schedule shall be resolved by the local parties:
