HIRING AND JOB POSTING PROCEDURES. Section 5.1(a) Prior to filling the position a notice of all job vacancies shall be posted for three (3) working days on the Union section of the bulletin board. The posted notice will include Section 5.1(b) Covered employees who have at least six (6) months experience in their latest job position and make timely application during the three (3) workday period will be considered eligible for the vacant position, subject to the terms of Section 5.1(e).

HIRING AND JOB POSTING PROCEDURES. The parties agree that it is in their mutual interest to assure that favorable promotional and retention consideration is granted to those who are best able to maintain or improve the efficiency of the Employer, further its progress and contribute to the successful accomplishment of current and future business objectives. Accordingly, in the filling of positions, particular attention will be given to the development, advancement, and retention of the existing workforce.

  • Hiring Procedures Nothing contained in this Article 4 shall impair any of the rights of the Employer to hire new or additional employees to meet the employment needs of the Employer, in accordance with the terms and provisions of this collective bargaining Agreement or to meet the obligations of the Employer under Article 2, Section H of this Agreement or to take affirmative steps to comply with any requirements under any applicable Federal or State law prohibiting discrimination in employment.
