Family Sickness. A leave of absence without pay or increment of up to one (1) school year may be granted for the purpose of caring for a sick member of the teacher's immediate family.

Family Sickness. Sick leave may be used to cover absence, not to exceed fourteen (14) days per fiscal year, due to the illness of a member of the immediate family of the employee or to enable the staff member to be with members of the immediate family when an emergency occurs due to illness, or accident.

Family Sickness. In the event of sickness in the family of an employee--spouse, children, parents, grandparents, siblings of the employee and/or spouse and any other member of the immediate household--the employee shall upon request be granted a leave of absence. The absence shall be deducted from the employees accumulated sick leave balance. Such leave shall be limited to a three (3) day maximum. Such leave shall be limited to fifteen (15) days in a school year.
Family Sickness. Any number of the fifteen (15) days of sick leave per year may be used for illness in the employee’s family. As used in this paragraph, "family" is defined as meaning parent, spouse and children. It is understood and agreed that no part of an employee’s accumulated sick leave may be used for family illness as it is for personal illness only.
