Days Earned in Accumulation. An employee shall earn sick leave at the rate of eight (8) days per year in any year in which the employee works. There shall be no limit in the number of sick days an employee may accumulate.

Days Earned in Accumulation. Full-time 24 hour shift employees with at least 30 days of service shall be allowed twelve (12) hours of sick leave for each month of service (which equals a total accumulation of six (24) hour work shifts per year). Full-time employees on forty-hour shifts with at least 30 days of service shall be allowed eight (8) hours of sick leave for each month of service (which equals a total accumulation of 96 hours per year). Employees shall not be eligible to earn sick leave for any period in which they are on layoff, on any paid or unpaid leave (except paid vacation) in excess of thirty calendar days, or any period in which they are engaged in any conduct in violation of Article V, No Strike No Lockout. Sick leave cannot be taken before it is actually earned.

  • Maximum Accumulation Maximum accumulation amounts apply only to the amount of annual leave that may be carried over from one leave year to the next, and do not limit accumulated leave balances during the leave year.

  • Vacation Accumulation (a) Vacations are not cumulative from year to year.

  • Sick Leave Accumulation For twenty (20) or more hour employees, sick leave is earned and credited at the rate of one (1) day per calendar month of active employment.   • Accumulation of Annual Leave A. During the first three (3) years of employment, a regular or limited term employee shall earn approximately five (5) hours and fifty-one (51) minutes of annual leave during each eighty (80) hour pay period (approximately one hundred fifty-two [152] hours per year), or a prorated amount for any pay period in which the employee is paid for less than eighty (80) hours.

  • Seniority Accumulation (a) (i) Part-time employees shall have their seniority expressed on the basis of number of hours worked in the bargaining unit. (The foregoing is for clarity only and therefore does not modify an employee’s level of seniority under this collective agreement or previous collective agreements.)

  • Annual Leave Accrual If an employee leaves State Classified employment and is later rehired, he/she shall accrue annual leave at the same rate as a new hire. However, once a rehired employee has been in pay status for five (5) years, all previous service time shall be credited for annual leave accrual. The only exception shall be for employees rehired who repay severance pay received.
