Creation of New Designations/Positions. 4.1.1 The School Division may create or fill administrative positions other than those specifically enumerated in Article 4.5.1 hereof, provided that additional allowances are negotiated with the Association Teacher Welfare Committee’s (TWC) negotiating subcommittee before advertising and filling such position. If after ten (10) days from the time notice is given to the committee no agreement is reached, the School Division may proceed to fill the position with the understanding that the amount of the allowance will be on the bargaining table at the next round of salary negotiations.

Creation of New Designations/Positions. 4.1.1 It is the right of the School Jurisdiction to create, determine if an allowance is applicable, and fill new positions. The School Jurisdiction agrees to negotiate the amount of the allowance for the new position if, in accordance with Article 1.1 and 1.2, the position is covered by this Collective Agreement.

Creation of New Designations/Positions. 4.1.1 If an allowance is to be paid to a teacher appointed to a classification which appropriately belongs within the bargaining unit, but is not provided for in the collective agreement, the amount of such allowance must be determined by negotiations with the Association prior to the appointment. The School Division shall provide notification of any new classification to the Chair of the TWC and the Coordinator of Teacher Welfare.
