Supervising and evaluating the Charter School custodian and overseeing routine facilities and maintenance issues. Overseeing school budget for classroom supplies, textbooks and other department expenditures. Developing and managing student counseling system, including supervising and evaluating counseling staff. Supporting school recruitment efforts. Supervising before, during and after school, including occasional evening and weekend events. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Principal or Executive Director. Follow all guidelines stated in the employee handbook Qualifications Master’s degree Holds a current, valid California teaching credential. Administrative Credential: minimum Tier I (or enrolled in an Admin Credential program). Minimum of two years of administrative experience preferred (e.g. Xxxx of Students, Teacher Leadership experience). Assistant Principal. This is a ten (10) – month position with a work year of 205 days. These will include the 185 days that the teaching staff works plus an additional twenty (20) days during the summer recess period that will be determined by the superintendent. Additional days (beyond the 205) may be requested by the superintendent and paid at the individual’s per diem rate.
Assistant Principal. The Assistant Principal shall play on the second or first desk of their relevant sections, shall follow the Principals, Concertmaster and Conductor in their performance directions and assist to translate these to the section in an effective manner. The Assistant Principal shall assist the Principals in their responsibilities for the seating, respite and relief roster and overall performance standard of the section whenever requested and shall lead the section or play on the first desk in the absence of the (Associate) Principals. The Assistant Principal Xxxxxxx shall cover the Principal Xxxxxxx in case of sickness and emergency or other unforseen circumstances, and shall provide respite to the Principal Timpani where required, according to the rostered workload of the Principal Timpani. Provided that, should the Assistant Principal Xxxxxxx perform the duties of the Principal Percussion, the appropriate Higher Duties Allowance is payable. When not required to play timpani, the assistant principal timpanist shall play tutti percussion.
