Alliance Membership. Subject to the provisions of this Article, the Employer agrees to supply the Alliance, quarterly, with the name and classification of each new Employee and the Employer will, as a condition of employment, deduct an amount equal to the monthly membership dues from the monthly pay of all Employees in the Bargaining Unit. Where an Employee does not have sufficient earnings in respect of any month to permit deductions made under this Article, the Employer shall not be obligated to make such deduction from subsequent salary. The Employer agrees to provide each new Employee with a copy of this Collective Agreement and to advise the new Employees as to the name of the Alliance Representative at that geographic location. The Alliance shall inform the Employer, in writing, of the authorized monthly deduction to be checked off for each Employee. For the purpose of applying clause deductions from pay for each Employee, in respect of each calendar month, will start from the first full calendar month of employment, to the extent that earnings are available. The amounts deducted, in accordance with clause shall be remitted to the Comptroller of the Alliance, Alliance Building, Street, Ottawa, Ontario by cheque, within a reasonable period of time after deductions are made, and shall be accompanied by particulars each Employee and the deductions made on the Employee's behalf.

This meeting may occur on Police Service Inc. properties and shall occur during working hours, but shall not exceed two (2) hours in length. Alliance Membership. 3.01 As a condition of employment, every employee shall become a member of the Alliance and shall remain a member in good standing, as determined by the Alliance, and shall authorize the release of personal contact information to the Alliance.   • COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP 1. Local representatives on committees specifically established by this Collective Agreement shall be appointed by the local.

  • Membership The Committee shall include nine (9) members - five (5) representatives from CUPE/SCFP and four (4) representatives from the CTA.   • Career Development The City and the Union agree that employee career growth can be beneficial to both the City and the affected employee. As such, consistent with training needs identified by the City and the financial resources appropriated therefore by the City, the City shall provide educational and training opportunities for employee career growth. Each employee shall be responsible for utilizing those training and educational opportunities made available by the City or other institutions for the self- development effort needed to achieve personal career goals.
