Accident involving his her personal property or the person or property of a member of his/her immediate family as defined in “1)” above, and of such emergency nature that the immediate presence of the employee is required during his/her workday.
Accident involving his her person or property or the person or property of a member of his/her immediate family. When the need for additional days is an emergency, less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice, the unit member need only to notify the District for the use of an additional day. All additional days of personal necessity, with the exception of emergencies, must have the advance permission of the Associate Superintendent for Human Resources and all such days, including emergencies, will be deducted from sick leave. The District reserves the right to revoke any use of personal necessity reported as an emergency beyond the eight (8) day limitation whenever the District has reason to believe the unit member is abusing the emergency provision.
Accident involving his her property, or the person or property of a member of his/her immediate family (father, mother, son, daughter, husband, wife, brother, sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and grandparents of the employee and the employee’s spouse) of such an emergency nature that the immediate presence of the employee is required during the working day.

The employee must, in such instances where advance permission has not been secured, submit a completed notification form in a manner prescribed by the District.
