Catastrophic Leave Program. Leave credits, as defined below, may be transferred from one or more employees to another employee, on an hour-for-hour basis, in accordance with departmental policies upon the request of both the receiving employee and the transferring employee and upon approval of the employee's appointing authority, under the following conditions:
Catastrophic Leave Program. 14 The Parties recognize that a Catastrophic Leave Program has been 15 implemented which allows the donation of vacation leave or compensatory time to ill or 16 injured employees who have exhausted all paid leave. This program may be terminated only 17 subject to the terms and conditions of the implementing Ordinance.
Catastrophic Leave Program. A member of the bargaining unit may donate accumulated contract sick leave to another unit member, or to any other eligible employee of the Imperial Valley Community College District in the case of catastrophic illness or injury, according to the following regulations. For the purpose of this section, catastrophic illness or injury means an illness of injury that is expected to incapacitate the employee for an extended period of time, or that incapacitates a member of the employee’s family which incapacity requires the employee to take time off from work for an extended period of time to care for that family member, and taking extended time off work creates a financial hardship for the employee because he or she has exhausted all of his or her sick leave and other paid time off. Eligible contract sick leave credits may be donated to another employee for a catastrophic illness or injury if all of the following requirements are met:
Catastrophic Leave Program. 1.9. LoboPerks It is understood that should the University change or delete these benefits for non-bargaining unit employees, such changes will apply to this contract. Up to two (2) bargaining unit employees assigned as Union representatives may be paid to participate in the Parking Advisory Committee as long as the Committee is active.
Catastrophic Leave Program. Upon request of a unit member, the District may establish a catastrophic leave program in accordance with Education Code 44043.5 to permit employees to donate eligible leave credits to another employee if the employee or a family member suffers from a catastrophic illness or injury.
Catastrophic Leave Program. The Assistant Superintendent may participate in the catastrophic leave program upon the same terms and conditions as negotiated with other bargaining units in the District.
Catastrophic Leave Program. The purpose of the Catastrophic Leave Program is to allow all classified employees who have exhausted their own accumulated sick and personal leave and other paid time off and have a serious illness/disability or have an emergency in their immediate family requiring their presence to request a donation of sick days. For the purposes of this program, immediate family shall be defined as a spouse, domestic partner, child, stepchild, xxxxxx child, parent, or parent in-law of the participant.
Catastrophic Leave Program. Permanent employees represented by the Association may be eligible to receive donations of paid leave, to be included in the recipient employee’s sick leave balance, if he/she has suffered a catastrophic illness or injury which is defined as a serious medical condition, considered to be terminal, a major physical impairment, or disability. • The recipient employee, recipient employee’s family, or other person designated in writing by the recipient employee must submit a request to the City Manager or designee. • The recipient employee is not eligible so long as he/she has paid leaves available; however, the request may be initiated prior to the anticipated date that all leave balances will be exhausted. • The recipient employee must provide a medical verification which meets the criteria above. • A recipient employee is eligible to receive a maximum of 240 hours of donated time per incident. Requests for exceptions to this limit may be submitted to the City Manager or designee whose decision shall be final and not subject to the grievance procedure. • Donations shall be made in whole hour increments, and are irrevocable. The donor employee may donate any amount of vacation; the City recommends the donor employee retains at least 48 hours of vacation. Compensatory time off may be donated in whole hour increments without limit. Sick leave and other leaves not specifically authorized above may not be donated. Donations may be made only from individuals whose positions are represented by the Association. • Time donated will be converted from the type of time donated to sick leave and credited to the recipient employee’s sick leave balance on an hour-for-hour basis and shall be paid at the rate of pay of the recipient employee. All sick leave provisions will apply. • Time donated in any pay period may be used in the following pay periods. No retroactive donations will be permitted. • The determination of an employee’s eligibility for Catastrophic Sick Leave donations shall be at the City Manager’s or designee’s sole discretion with concurrence by the Police Chief, and shall be final and not subject to the grievance procedure.

This program may be terminated only subject to the terms and conditions of the implementing Ordinance.
Catastrophic Leave Program. Purpose: The purpose of a catastrophic leave policy (CLP) is to aid Oberlin College UAW employees with family members (as defined in this policy), who are experiencing serious or catastrophic illnesses and have exhausted all paid leave (vacation, current sick days and sick bank). The policy allows employees to donate vacation to other employees who meet the eligibility requirements. Donations under this policy are not tax deductible.
