Interruption of Vacation. An employee shall be permitted to interrupt or terminate vacation leave in order to begin another type of paid leave provided the employee supplies notice and supporting information regarding the basis for such interruption or termination to the District.
Interruption of Vacation. A bargaining unit member shall be permitted to interrupt or terminate vacation leave in order to begin bereavement leave, jury duty, illness or injury leave, personal necessity leave, or other paid leave as provided by this Agreement without a return to active service, provided the unit member provides to the District adequate notice and relevant supporting information regarding the basis for such interruption or termination.
Interruption of Vacation. An employee in the bargaining unit shall be permitted to interrupt or terminate vacation leave in order to begin sick leave, provided the employee supplies notice and the explicit written statement of verification from a licensed physician. LEAVES
Interruption of Vacation. A unit member shall be permitted to interrupt or terminate vacation leave in order to begin another type of paid leave if the unit member gives immediate (or, if not possible, as soon thereafter as is reasonably practical under the circumstances) verbal notice to his/her supervisor (or the HR Department) and provides written supporting documentation regarding the basis for such interruption or termination upon return from leave.
Interruption of Vacation. When an employee’s scheduled vacation is interrupted due to serious illness or injury which commenced prior to and continues into the scheduled vacation period, the period of such illness shall be considered sick leave. When an employee’s scheduled vacation is interrupted due to serious illness or injury requiring the employee to be an inpatient in a hospital, the period of such hospitalization shall be considered sick leave. The portion of the employee’s vacation which is deemed to be sick leave under the above provisions will not be counted against the employee’s vacation credits.

Interruption of Vacation. To utilize another type of leave, paid or unpaid, the employee must request the type of leave from their Supervisor, Manager, Principal and/or Administrator and provide any required documentation for that commensurate leave. The employee must clearly identify when the last date of vacation is and when the newly requested leave is to start. There shall be no break in service for an employee on a paid or unpaid leave of absence. There shall be no break in service for an employee on a paid or unpaid leave of absence.

A unit member shall be permitted to interrupt or terminate 14 vacation leave in order to begin another type of paid leave provided by this Agreement without a 15 return to active service, provided the unit member supplies notice and reasonable supporting 16 information regarding the basis for such interruption or termination.
Interruption of Vacation. A unit member shall be permitted to interrupt or terminate vacation leave in order to begin sick leave or bereavement leave without a return to active service, provided the unit member supplies reasonable notice and, within thirty (30) days of the event giving rise to the request, supporting documentation regarding the basis for such interruption or termination. In the event of a request for interruption or termination by reason of illness, such illness must be sufficiently serious in nature to require hospitalization or confinement to bed by order of a physician. For the days of hospitalization or confinement to be credited as sick leave, the unit member must submit a verifying statement from the attending physician within thirty (30) days of the event giving rise to the request.
Interruption of Vacation a) If a staff member’s vacation is interrupted by a death for which they are entitled to Bereavement Leave then their entitlement to substitute Bereavement Leave for vacation shall be governed by Article 18.03.
